UPDATED: JUN 25, 2020 Gylden brun klar med hvitt skum. Lukter fersken, noe sydhavsfrukt og korn. Middels fyldle og bitterhet. Sitrusskall, noe vanilje og noe maltig smak. Middels lang

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2020 Very hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a very frothy, microfoamed head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of super dank and almost skunky hops with a lot of resin notes and showing some softer citrus and sweetness towards the end, but the malt scent and light sweetness is noticeable as well. Medium-bodied; Strong pungent dank hop flavours dominate with a nice bitterness from all the alpha acids, but also leaving a touch dry and floral with some of the grassy and perfumey characteristics coming through and finishing with a soft but smooth citrusey and fruit-based sweetness. Aftertaste shows the hops of course, but also a good malt backbone and some stronger bready yeast, with a good balance and a kick of flowers at the tail end. Overall, a nice, hoppy, bitter and flavourful IPA that hits the right notes and has a good set of flavours, just isn't anything entirely special, still not a bad beer of course. That said, it's been a while, but I much prefer Alpha King to this one. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Chicago (Streeterville), Illinois, a few hours ago on 24-June-2020 for US$2,69 sampled in my hotel room, back here in Chicago on 24-June-2020.

kosko20 (353) - Maineville, Ohio, USA - APR 20, 2020
UPDATED: APR 20, 2020 Incredible. Completely blown away. Looks and pours like a standard pale ale. Clear and gold with a nice off white head. Aroma is clean, citrus-pine hoppy. Flavor is the cleanest bitter I've ever had. Smooth drinking and finish leaves a citrus hop bitter that is pleasant.

12 oz can to tulip. Aroma of orange, fig, pineapple, light caramel malt. Taste of same with lemon-lime-grapefruit citrus. Sadly disappointed from the hype.

Learninbeer (845) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - JAN 19, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2020 The aroma is fruity hops. Pours a cloudy yellow/orange with off-white head mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. A Very Good Beer!!!

thorongil2 (5355) - rootless cosmopolitan elite, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 11, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2020 (tap) clear, bright orange amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of tropical fruit; rich, balanced flavour with a long, strong bitter finish; slightly creamy palate; very nice

MNAle (507) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 3, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2020 Good, solid aroma of citrus and pine. Hints of something sweeter - pineapple, perhaps? 1/2 inch thick, creamy white head with decent retention, leaving thick lacing and a pitted surface as it drops. Color is clear deep amber with ample rising bubbles. Initial feel is thick (for an APA) and smooth, which remains pretty much throughout until it is overcome by a bitter middle and finish. Initial taste repeats the citrus from the aroma, with a substantial malt sweetness behind. The middle becomes more piney and bitter, but the bitterness is always controlled by the balancing sweet malts. Aftertaste is piney and moderately bitter. The finish is tending toward dry, but enough sweetness remains that it never actually gets there. Overall, this is an excellent APA. Hoppy, but well-balanced and delicious.
