Originally a collaboration with Pizza Port Ocean Beach.

Double IPA with Tangerine & Blood Oranges and Maui cane sugar. The deep red hue is a result of the blood orange juice and specialty malts. The unique hop profile is made up of Azacca, El Dorado and Sorachi Ace. This beer is delightfully bitter and aromatic with noes of tropical fruit and, of course, orange.

Aroma is citrus, tropical fruit, sweet fruit and earthy malts. The flavor is citrus/sweet fruit, earthy malts, light tropical fruit and a bitter/slightly spicy finish. A slightly stronger regular IPA.

12oz can from Beer Bazaar. Orangey copper pour with an off-white head leaving a lot of spotty lacing. Aroma has citrus, pine, some tangerine, light honey, and some graininess. Taste is of sweet tropical fruits, citrus, pine, tomato or something vegetal, and biscuit malts. Medium bodied with fairly constant carbonation. The blend is decent but no better and there is some alcohol presence. Finishes tangy fruity and bittersweet. Interesting effort. A touch to the strange/esoteric side. 13.7

can. solid beer. For an DIPA, was on the mild side - still very good, just not a WOW DIPA

Quick3Beers (1201) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 20, 2016
Pours a coppery amber from a can. Big citrus notes in the nose, similar flavor, not specifically blood orange, more grapefruit and lemon. Maybe citron. Good beer.

Overly graphic can. Foggy, tea colored with a webby eggshell head. Complex, fruity, sweet, lemony citrus aroma with some toasted sugar, vanilla and weirdness. Big flavor profile, lotsa stuff going on in there. Like a few pigs in a croaker sack. Lightly sweet, a little vanilla, screwball bittering, bold malts. Citrus pith zest catches you on the back corners of the tongue. Good mouthfeel, good carbo. Strong showing. ABC Liquors, Betton.

DocJitsu (1972) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - NOV 12, 2016
Pours a clear deep golden with a thick, rich, dull white head. Alcohol, citrus and cream on the nose. Heavy, warm, and moderately stinging on the palate. Citrus flavor, though not overly pronounced. Alcohol is easily noted. Not impressive.

12oz can pours a bright orange with some bright white head. Nose has orange peel, heavy pith, yeast, soap, herbs. Flavor is heavy with orange and orange pith, soap, herbs. Bitter, pithy finish. One note.

Dredd (932) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - OCT 16, 2016
Great beer, deep orange pour shows the blood orange roots. Aroma is orange citrus elevated by the generous amount of hops. Flavour is big on ripe orange, big malt sweetness and some breadiness/apricot in there too. The finish is big on hop bitterness with a hint of orange rind in there too.

PorterPounder (7888) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz can. Sparkling, dark copper pour, fluffy snow white head, solid web of lacing. Solid spruce aroma, hints of orange peel. Solid, robust flavor, sweet hints of citrus, some caramel sweetness, a touch of spearmint. Nicely textured mouthfeel. Much better than expected!

tmoreau (4295) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 6, 2016
12 oz. can (8%) at Lunar Brewing Co., poured to a Czech-pils glass displaying a clear & bright, amber hue, with a frothy layer of soft white foam, and wavy lacing. The nose was initially dank, then lightly floral & sweet, with esters as ripe pit fruit, tangerine, and slight tropical scent, followed by some soft malt. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, and a touch of creaminess to the mouthfeel, the taste continued the light sweetness, and added a moderate, but steadily lingering, earthy bitterness that also contributed some rind-like astringency. Alcohol seemed well integrated, and somewhat hidden, but didn’t take anything away from the flavorful finish.
