drjoeng (1798) - SINGAPORE - DEC 28, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2018 6.5%ABV. IPA.
Tapped out deep gold. 12°SRM.
Nose has aromas of pine, citrus peel, and spruce. There is also a good full malty funk. As it warms, the spicy, fresh herb aromas start to emerge suggesting cilantro and parsley.
Mouthfeel is juicy and round. Full and pleasing.
Palate has flavors of barley toast, fresh biscuits.
Hop flavors are aggressive featuring resin, sap, and alkaloid type flavors that suggest poisonous plant extracts.
Finish is lingering with a deep resinous, ponderous sappy bitter that is almost oily.
Overall, a really nicely balanced IPA that has a kick-in-the-groin deeply resinous bitter finish, which is likely to be the enduring impression of this beer. For me, it was the grain bill that was the unsung hero on this allowing the ponderous hop profile to be slowly and continuously tasted. melush (7331) - SPAIN - JUN 11, 2018

Pours clear copper color with a large white head. Resinous hoppy aroma, malts, pine needles, orange and some grapefruits. Flavor is bitter malty, resinous hoppy, some caramel notes, slightly oily feel from the hops too. A solid resinous IPA.
355ml can. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy and caramel malty aroma, notes of lemon, orange, hints of grapefruit. Taste is citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, a touch of lime, hints of grapefruit and orange, slightly too weak caramel malty backbone. Flawless yet unspectacular West Coast IPA.

Coppery color, off-white head with some lasting and nice lacework. Aroma with a high presence of grapefruit, resin hops and light caramel. Flavor with a decent bitterness, good maltiness, peach andgrapefruit notes. Bittery final with astringent mouthfeel.
Pours a large frothy, foamy head that gives off good dirty lacing. Aromas of hops, lemony, and oranges. Flavours are very citrus oriented. Oranges, grapefruit, mild lemon with mild floral hops and very mild malts. Nice warming sensation. Hoppy bitterness found in an IPA, this one’s much more apparent. Really nice taste ant not too bitter. Good balance. Brettsky06 (540) - Manitoba, CANADA - MAR 2, 2017
