Bouteille 650ml.
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc, mds & tupalev -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a hazy golden-orange with an average size lasting fluffy white head. Slightly sour aroma -- is this beer still good or is it supposed to smell like this? Sour with wheat, yeast and citrus fruit -- doesn’t smell that great. Flavour’s better, it follows the aroma but it’s a little more pleasant, still not great though. Medium bodied. Dissapointing, average at best. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 27, 2006
Shared with the regular crew and MDS at Greg’s, my bottle. Sale malt / yeast aroma, typical hefe aroma but really just average. Dark yellow, foamy white head - looks nice. Taste - yeck, sour malt, stale - lemon sourness as well with a very yeasty bite. Me no likey. Lots of body for the style. Not great. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2006
Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry, jerc, tupalev & mds - tupalev’s bottle. Light gold with a small white head. Aroma is like a hefe on steroids - all the typical hefe smells are there, but kicked up a notch, with a lot of sharp edges. Flavour is tart and funky, with a mild yeastiness, and a peppery, sour finish. It’s hard to tell if this was intentional or if the bottle was a bit infected. Either way, I don’t think I’d want more of it. jercraigs (12568) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 20, 2006
Bottle. Hazy golden yellow, decent creamy head (3+). Lemon citrus, wheat and yeast in the aroma. Tart wheaty bite in the flavour, almost sour but not quit - pleasantly so. Average palate but quite smooth. Sort of a rough hewn hefe but enjoyable - would drink again.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2006 Bottle (500ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc, mds and tupalev, tupalev’s bottle. Slightly hazy orange with a large fluffy bright white head. Malty aroma, slightly sour, yeasty citrus sharpness, dry spiciness, hints of apple and mild grain. Tasted of sour lemon, mixed but not well-blended spices, finishes sour and to me a bit boozy (5%? Really??). Average to slightly weak body, lightly astringent, very quick finish - not bad, as such, but underwhelming and a touch too sour - and a little too spicy for a hefe. Bottle my sister had for at least a year. Hazy blonde with a thin white head. A sweet perfumey malt but with faint memories of bananas in its glorious past. In mouht, a decent quaffer, with light sweet bubblegum notes, lactic points, but again, showing its venerable age. Sammy (14726) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2006
Not much to look at, or aroma, but creamy and drinkable. Fruity, tartness that is yeasted away with bannana, coriander. Medium plus mouthfeel.
Not a bad one. destroye7 (312) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 13, 2005
650 ml bottle. Nice amber color. Clear beer (no deposit). A light caramel taste. Some spices. A banana aroma. JPDIPSO (6417) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 25, 2005
Light amber color with a fluffy ecru head. Very snappy ear as the head dissipates. Honey, bubblegum and light citrus in the nose. After seeing and smelling, it is apparent that the hefe weizen category should be removed from this one. Much more a light belgian blonde. Flavors of wheat run amok with a ring of light cream. Very effervescent which seems to work with this one. A cream soda wheat ale seems to fit the profile. This would rate significantly lower if I really believed this was a hefe, rather than a wheat ale. A nice summer change of pace. Thanks Beerbuzzmontreal.
