Embrouille (2855) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 13, 2011
Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Bov. It pours a hazy amber beer with a quick diminishing fizzy head. Smoky aroma which is reminiscent of leather, faint papaya, potato, gentian and a lot of vanilla. Strong carbonation. Sweet. Subdued bitterness. Potato showing up in the taste. Medium bodied. A tasty beer which is reminiscent of delicate Speyside single malts. A tad too much carbonation for me. Thanks a lot Bov! Bov (14988) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 11, 2011
from the brewery in Arlesheim - hazy reddish-amber colour with a long lasting creamy beige foam; decently smokey with notes of flowers caramel reminding of Lowland whiskies; soft and velvety palate, a light sweetness and a late moderate tartness, more smokey malt tones in a dry caramelish and flowery finish - subtle and very nicely made!
