Svesse (14202) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 8, 2024
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2024 (Draught at Oude Arsenaal, Antwerpen, 19 Oct 2023, as 'Arsenaaltje') Amber colour with creamy, tan head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit, bread and mild spicy aromas. Malty, fruity, slightly spicy taste with caramel, dried apricots, toast and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2023 Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy amber body with lots of floaters beneath a huge beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of rust and dried leaves. Flavour of steel and red apple. Thin to medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. A bit sharp and one-dimensional. Not great.

imdownthepub (26051) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2022
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2022 Bottled, 330ml from Kay Gee's Off Licence, Didcot, Oxon. Hazed orange gold with white head. Sweet candied sugars to the fore, Belgian yeast notes, esters with a dose of caramel in the background. Sweet honeycomb. It's okay.

labeerinthum (7904) - Milano, ITALY - OCT 5, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2021 Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso propende per l'orzo tostato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale, permanendo in maniera sufficiente.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2022 Bottle from Eltham Wines. Emergency pour due to the bottle leaping out of the fridge, crashing(but not smashing)on the hard floor and coming open with Vesuvius-esque proportions 🌋😟!From what was left...orange pour with a beige head, aromas of Barley sugar, lemon sherbet & light ginger. Similar doo dah in the taste.Malty bitter finish.

ozzatoadisback (644) - ITALY - JUN 2, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2021 Pours a moderately hazy dark orange, hazier on second pour. Big, fluffy white head. Recedes a bit too quickly though, still leaving nice lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: a caramel malts base, a hint of honey, quite vivid fruity notes (especially ripe red fruits). A touch of underlying earthiness too. Sadly, the taste notes are not equally bright or clean. Caramel malts foundation, only a hint of fruitiness, a rather strong earthy, borderline muddy feeling, which gets a bit too strong in finish and aftertaste. Medium body, medium to high carbonation, resulting in a lively enough but still easy mouthfeel. That unclean feeling ruined what could've been a good example of the sadly overlooked speciale belge style. However, the beer was still very much drinkable.

TomHendriksen (6779) - NETHERLANDS - APR 13, 2021
UPDATED: APR 13, 2021 * Rating overgezet 2016 * Het is een troebel oranjebruin bier met een vol schuim. Het heeft een caramel en gistachtige geur. De smaak is moutig met tonen van noten en caramel.

pleispleis (1558) - Maccagno, ITALY - MAR 20, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2021 bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma bianca fine media persistenza, colore ambrato velato, al naso lieviti belgi cereali note floreali, in bocca malto frutta a pasta gialla spezie note erbacce, corpo leggero, watery, carbonazione forte, amaro moderato, secca nel fiale. Manca un po' di corpo. Non male ma non entusiasmante. c. Cantina della birra 20.03.21
