From the bottle. Chestnut brown with a creamy, light beige head that slowly fades. Aroma of red apple, toffee, toast. Taste is mildly bitter with notes of ashes and apple cider. Body is medium, clingy, carbonation is mild. Finishes dry, bitter, and herbal. Good.

Kita (2774) - Koper, SLOVENIA - NOV 2, 2018
Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, dried fruit and maple syrup. Pours hazy dark brown color with medium soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet caramel and dried fruit, following is grassy and lightly roasted, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is medium bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. I can’t detect any smoked notes, but doesn’t bother me at all, it’s a big beer anyway...

Moravius (2125) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 8, 2018
"Freigeist Hoppeditz", Flasche (50 cl) von Beereau/Beerellion, Berlin. - Dunkles Kastanienrotbraun, schwach trüb. - In der Nase kerniger zitrusfruchtig-harziger Hopfen, v.a.

Average frothy light brown head. Good lacing. Mostly diminishing. Flat dark reddish-brown body. Aroma: heavy malt, toasted, dark chocolate, raisin. Initial flavor: moderate sweet light bitter. Final flavor: moderate sweet bitter; long duration. Palate: medium body, dry texture, medium carbonation and metallic finish. delicioso dulçor maltado com presença de frutas secas (uva-passa) permeado por amargor lupulado que equilibra perfeitamente o conjunto. Assertive hop bitterness well balanced by a sturdy yet clean and crisp malt character. The malt presence is moderated by medium-high to high attenuation, but considerable rich, complex, and somewhat grainy malt flavors can remain. A long-lasting, medium-dry to dry, bittersweet or nutty finish reflects both the hop bitterness and malt complexity. Esconde bem os 7,5%.deliciosa cerveja. Ótima drinkability. Toques amadeirados no retrogosto. 160s

Bottle:   Deep caramel in color, large batter like head, fairly clumpy lacing.   Big bready/malty nose, seems sweet and also biscuity.   Bready up front, dark pitted fruit, some spices on the backside.   Despite being fairly malty/bready, its not real big in body.   A little nutty at times.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish seems to have some odd woodiness, almost cedar like.   Wished it were a bit heavier, but glad its not cloyingly sweet.   Fairly good Altbier, with an interesting woody like finish.

L: -pours a cloudy ruby-brown with a medium,foamy,sand-coloured head -medium carbonation visible S: -grassy,plums,syrupy,caramel,raisins, to medium bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -medium body -slight alcohol noticeable O: Not nearly as hoppy as a true Altbier Sticke, but on it's own it's a really nice Beer.
