Fresh raspberry, tart, gentle floral hops, dry finish. Very smooth and enjoyable fruit beer.

Draught at Mondial de la Bière 2012, June 7. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with a spare diminishing off-white head. Aroma is mainly of raspberries, a bit tart and a bit sweet. Flavour’s the same, lightly tart and semi-sweet raspberries. Average bodied. Overly simple, just good.

[4452-20120607] Tap. Very fruity sweet raspberry aroma. Slightly hazy, red amber body with a quick foamy white head. Lots of raspberry fruit in the flavour but does not have a lot of saisony yeast or Bret for that matter. Medium body. Seems much like the regular raspberry but is fairly nice anyway. Slightly pinkish amber colour. Pleasant berryish aroma. Sweet and tart with good balance. Light yeastiness in the finish.

[email protected] - quite clear reddish-amber beer, poor head retention; clean raspberry nose, hints of tea; medium-bodied, some sweetness dominated by sourish notes; quite dry raspberry aftertaste

2012-06-07. Red tinged brown body, small off-white head. 3+ Pleasant tart raspberry aroma is nice but one dimensional. 7+ Flavour is quite similar, modest flavour, tart raspberry dominates, with not much of the base beer shining through. 6+ Average palate. Enjoyable but much more framboise than saison. On tap at Mondial, Montreal

Lanchester (199) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 11, 2012
On tap at the Brewpub. Poured a vibrant ruby hue with a thin pink ring of foam; flecks of lacing here and there. Aroma is fruity with an undertone of grains and straw. Picking up on cereal notes up front in the flavor, following through with tart raspberries in the finish. Body is a tad on the watery side. A little disappointing overall, I felt as though the flavors didn’t seem to pair up that well against each other. Enjoyable but can be improved.

Beershine (5258) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 5, 2012
Draft at brewpub. Cheerful red, small head. Natural fruit aroma is dense, not sweet, like pure crushed berries, seeds and all. The body is light, refreshing, and soft. The flavors finish too abruptly. it is very light and fruity without being sweet, which is nice and refreshing for a starter beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour copper ruby with thin beige head. Aroma raspberries, jam, quite sweet, extremely fruity, cereal grain. Taste raspberry, mild hops. Mild grain, jam, sweet, mild floral hops. MF medium syrupy body decent carb. Good nothing special for a fruit beer its tasty but not what I want to drink.

On tap at the brewpub. Murky orangeish pour, small pinkish head. Delicate aroma of raspberry, a touch of funk and some yeast. The mouthfeel is a little sour, a good dose of fruit. Nice medium dry finish, with a touch of sweetness. Very refreshing.
