UPDATED: FEB 5, 2019 Cask hand pull, SAH, Cheltenham, May 2018. Alfresco Danish yard in the sun-kissed garden. Deep mahogany becoming headless in the sun. Ruby glints and an infinitesimal tan halo. Ashy well done aroma with cafetière dregs and smouldering black bread. More of a Toffo flavour with Young’s-type lactic and vanilla chocolate sweetness with a good grind of roast to cap it off. Slick conditioned despite the absence of head. Finally nutty with a suggestion of burnt almonds. Not bad.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2018 Consumed with extreme pleasure at the GBBF. Vanilla stout felt like a little bit of a punt, but it was very pleasant. Flavoursome but not overwhelming. Reasonably strong at 5% but well worth it.

At Chippenham Beer Festival. Black, not much head. Roasty, hints of vanilla. Medium body. A bit acidic. Nice. beerbp (25) - - FEB 8, 2017
Considering this won CAMRA champion beer of Britain 2016, it sucks balls! Thin, mild flavours, not enough body, not enough vanilla, not enough anything.
