Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a finger of fizzy foam. Lots of toasted oak, vanilla, musty grain and earthy yeast. A bit murky on the palate with lots of wet musty grain, booze, some round oak heavy vanilla, toasted almond, hints of basement funk. A bit bland and lifeless.

Bottle shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours hazy pale orange with a finger of head. Nose is juicy orange and musty stonefruit with some wet grain, oaky vanilla and soft white wine. Subtle funk. Taste is rounded musty stonefruit and some funky orange, soggy farm grain backbone, low tartness, orange pith, light oak. Finish is dry dusty citrus, oak, light fruity brett and toasty grain.

I’ve had this more than enough times to say something about this. Poured sometimes in a pint glass and sometimes in a tulip, honestly, there really isn’t any difference, here goes. The appearance had a nice hazy pale orange to brown color with a decent one finger white foamy head in both glasses. There’s even a decent light lacing trying to grace the sides of the glass, but for the most part, the lacing slides right into the body. The smell, wow, it has a nice subtle spice rolling under a semi-decent sweetened earthy yeasty breadiness which still lies under a fairly decent rustic aroma. The taste took all over those flavors and just basically wrapped them up tightly but still loose enough to empower a flavoring to enamor pretty much anyone who could possibly ever taste this brew. On the palate, geez louise, sessionable, holy moley, sure the hell is. The body, well, I think I got a tad flustered with its sessionability, anyways, yeah, this is pretty sessionable. Overall, well, where the hell did this beer come from? Geez Louise, I had this several times when I was stationed in Maine and found it in several places back there, but got in twice in a trade and figured, well, I guess I better say something. To anyone who has this in their distro, and you like saisons, please don’t pass this up.

Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus. Slightly hazy pale yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma is white wine, oak, bretty sourness, a tiny hint of fine vinegar, citrus, banana, coriander. Taste is very well balanced with a high sweetness which is contained by a nicely mild bitter end. Oak is apparent in the taste as well. Relatively low carbonation but a nice and not-too-sticky mouthfeel.

Floral notes match the golden amber color. Spices hit the pallet next with a warm glow to finish. Amazing.
