Interesting brewery, went there with a couple of friends and had a chat with the brewmaster. The beer is like an Eastern beer from Het Anker, lote of liquorice root in the flavor but not much complexity. Still an interesting and unusual beer from a special brewery.

Bottle from Pibar, Lausanne
Dark brown color, near black, with generous compact head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, some bread, anise.
Dry but smooth mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor, a bit too much bread and the spice profile is leaning too much on the anise; the liquorice is also rather evident; correct bitterness.
The style is not my favorite, nevertheless the beer as usual is correctly brewed.

yespr (55595) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 24, 2012
33 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is liqourice, annis seed and dark roasted malty. Bitter, roasted and dark malty into a dry and roasted finish.

Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 31, 2011
from the webshop of the brewery - cloudy very dark brown colour with a rubish hue and no head retention; slightly roasted with a shy aroma of coffee, vanilla, apricot and licorice; highly carbonated, some sweetness and with a late tart dryness and lingering notes of coffee and spices - the carbonation does not appear appropriate
