COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clara (1906-1969) was our grandfather’s sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Grisette is crafted from American malted barley, Vermont Organic Wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Clara. 4% ALC/VOL 9º P Ingredients: Pale Malt, Organic Vermont Wheat, American and European Hops, Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2019 On tap at Brewski on 18 March 2019 as part of Brewsvegas USA Pint of Origin event. Super expensive beer but well worth it. First time I have seen Hill Farmstead beers on tap in Australia - air freighted in especially for Brewsvegas. I had this beer for the name alone as Clara is the name of my next granddaughter who is due in a few weeks - just so happens to be a pretty tasty beer.

thnx to Koen Ko. Pours rather unclear, blonde. Small white head. Smell is mild , honey like softness, but not sweet. Mild dryness to it. Tad grainy. Taste is sharp, malty, mild honey aspects ( but again, not sweet ) bit tart, very elegant. Rather high carbo, Medium body.

750ml bottle pours a hazy gold with some silky, white head. Nose is interesting, its definitely funky, yeast, some very doughy notes, lemon, wild grasses, floral, lemon rind, a bit funky though. Flavor is more cut and dry, grist, flowers, lime, wildflowers, dandelion greens, lemon juice, a bit of cheese cloth. Finishes tart, dry.
