COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(I.P.A). was developed in England around 1800; the extra strength in alcohol and hops helped preserve the beer on its long export journeys to India and beyond. The style has developed a following worldwide. Ours begins with smooth, malty creaminess and a big burst of dry-hop flavor and aroma from a variety of American hops. It finishes with a lingering yet pleasant bitterness. Is it Overboard? You decide.

BOTTLE. (Batch 612). Pours a clear golden/caramel with thin dissipating head.. Nose is flat out caramel malt.. Sappy malt front, caramel dominant, goes to a sticky yet real hoppy middle/end, goes bitter in aftertaste, brewer description is solid.. Sourced one of the Waikiki ABC store

This was a great ipa on the mellow side that didnt overpower the beer too much. I had a different malt flavor.

Tap @ Hapuna Beach Hotel 8/1/16. A deep brownish amber color with a white head. I almost did not take this for an IPA. It was rich in malts, somewhat sweet, had a Belgian sweetness to it but at the end of the day just enough hops to balance it out and keep it interesting. Not an IPA I would return to but interesting enough on its own.

Copper with a white head. Citrus fruit and floral notes with a big chunk of caramel malt thrown in. Bitter, lingering finish. Good IPA.

Bottle. Orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of candied orange peel, sweet pale malt, and wine gum candies. Flavors are of sweet citrus, pale and Munich malts, lemon, and wet cedar. Full bodied with just enough bitterness to balance things out. Not bad overall, but a bit too heavy handed with the malts.

Light beige creamy head. Amber colour. Aroma is hoppy with fruity (apricot, peach and tangerine) notes. Flavor is moderately malty with fruity (apricot and tangerine) and hoppy tones, ending in an hoppy finish. Medium bodied.

22oz bottle pours a pale brown color with a lot of frothy head. Yeasty tasting. Medium hop bitterness that lingers. Lots of malt.

From bottle in less-than-appropriate flanged glass in room at Hilton Hawaiian Village. In spite of this, it was quite a smooth, enjoyable drop. Cloudy amber with fleeting head. More creamy malt than hop-driven putting it in the minority of the IPA community. Still, it was quite nice.
