What should we call our Russian Imperial Stout? Black Unicorn? Soul Dragon? Nohhh. Let’s combine them and create the ultimate mythical creature: Blaecorn Unidragon.

Imbued with a monstrous amount of dark malt and aggressive hops, Blaecorn Unidragon is a powerful and complex brew designed to improve with age.

Draft at Growler USA courtesy of HuskerTan, thank you sir. Poured black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke, vanilla. Taste was bittersweet, roasted malt, vanilla, creamy mouthfeel.

From a 650ml bottle on 31/12/2017 (ABV listed as 11.5%, shared with Butz). Pours near black with a big tan head. The aroma features light chocolate and roasted malt. The falvour is primary dark chocolate, caramel roasted malt, soy and hops. It's quite bitter and intense - a true slow sipper, and drinks every bit of the 11.5%. Creamy palate and moderate carbonation. A pleasant enough impy, but something a bit sweeter and smoother is more my style.

Rami Rami is drinking a Blaecorn Unidragon by Clown Shoes at Muzeum Azji i Pacyfiku Kawowe, dosc palone, raczej wytrawne, ciut kwaskowate, kapke popiolowe, nie pod gust ale calkiem dobre

Put this in my cellar for three years and cracked it open on Christmas Day. Pours a viscous pitch black color, like motor oil with dark brown head. The nose is a complex mix of dark chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt and some faint citrus notes. Full body, with light to modest sweetness. Very hoppy but not overly bitter. All the components are working in harmony with great depth. Very well balanced. Low carbonation. Smooth. Nice stuff and alcohol I well hidden

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2017 I couldn’t tell you about the science behind this beer, or how you’re supposed to drink it or taste it. All I know is this beer is fantastic. Creamy, smooth, sweet, chocolaty, with some pretty aggressive hops underneath all that. Lovely beer.

Really nice imperial stout. Rich and chocolates. Licorice, pepper, molasses, and pine.

A 22 fl. oz. bomber, bottled on 14th January 2016. Poured into a snifter. It was black in colour with a one finger dark tan head that had pretty good retention and left some nice lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, espresso, liquorice, anise, pine with a hint of citrus peel and char. Tastes roasty, char, chocolate, cocoa and liquorice with some piney hops coming through at the end. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation. Overall nice to sip, and even after almost two years, the hops are still coming through quite clearly on the finish, it kind of reminded me a bit of a strong Black IPA.

Pours creamy black, with a large brown head and excellent lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, soy, tobacco and dark fruits. Tastes low bitter, strong roasted malts, chocolate, tobacco, cherries, dark berries, alcohol very well hidden. Creamy, full bodied, softly carbonated, with lingering flavours, very rich and pleasant. A very well made and balanced Russian. Awesome.

HuskerTan (2449) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - NOV 13, 2017
Draft. A- Tobacco, roasty, char, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Tobacco, roasty, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, robust finish. O- Lots of tobacco and char. A touch of smoke and cocoa as well. Liked it quite a bit but might be a touch overrated.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2017 Bottle in Florida. Pitch black pour. Bread, smoke & burnt syrup. Tastes excessively alcoholic. Think I'm being generous with 3 stars
