Very dark brown beer with a smooth, creamy, off-white head. The nose is muted but comes across sweetish with some biscuit and bready malt character. The taste too is all malt, biscuity, rounded and comforting. A good beer for a cold January evening.

Lacing rings down the glassware. Inviting aroma of earthy malts added by liquorice. The taste profile is a nice mix of dark fruits, aniseed and mid-sweet, dark chocolate malt. Dry fruity ending.
