Cask Pint – JDW Fest Autumn 2011 in Nov 2011 - Dark Brown in colour, with Reddish tinge. Malty; roasty/burnt malts, chocolate. Hoppy; some piney hop bitterness. Mildly bitter burnt malts throughout. Dry. Sour hop edge. Very drinkable. (2011-11-05)

Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, fudge, caramel. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and dark brown with a deep amber glare. Aroma is toasted malty and roasted. Light vanilla, dark roasted malty and slight sweet. Toasted malty and breadish. Bitter, toasted malty and roasted finish. Lasting bitterness.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear dark brown beer. Residual tan head. Light semi dry palate. Fresh dark malt, quite light. Whisper of coffee and red fruits. Finishes dry. Decent enough.
Cask @ Brigantes York. A pitch black colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of coffee and roasted malts with fruits. The tatste is some sweet moving to bitter, roasted malts with some coffee. The aftertaste is bitter with a little sweet.
