Bottle 50 cl from Saveurs et Vins - Cortaillod (CH). Golden and crackling under an immaculate white foam dome. Fruity aromas, yeast, banana, apricot and bread. The taste is soft, fruity, rather round with ripe fruit, banana, soft apple, white pepper. Point of acidulity and slight sweet-sour in the finale.

Bottle kindly shared by Rubin77 at a tasting in his flat. Quite clean German style wheat beer with light clove and light to moderate peppery spiciness. High carbonation. Well attenuated yet feeling chewy. Good, though a bit lacking in the estery presence.

from Au Grain d’Orge, Neuchâtel - clear golden beer with a modest head retention; solid aroma of banana, grapefruit and cloves; oily palate, sweet and with a solid carbonation; fruity and gently spicy finish - not bad at all

Tasted from the tap on the 11/07/2015 at the Caminha Artbeerfest. Light hazy golden colour with medium head with almost no retention. Aroma is light citrus and coriander. Carbonation is style average. Taste is very light for me with some citrus and banana. More Rock and Roll please. Next one please!

In short: A typical german style hefe with bananas and all. Clean example of the style.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Somewhat cloudy blonde body topped by a persistent white head.
In long: Nose has the expected typical pleasant bananas esters augmented by some pineapples and bready notes. Body is medium in size, clean, well carbonated, typical hefe mouthfeel I would expect from a large german brewery. Taste is wheaty, a slice of banana bread, a slice of pineapple upside-down cake, white bread, a mild toastiness. A hefe that is similar to the extra-clean examples of the style offered by some of the larger german breweries. This is the first beer I ever drank in Portugal, and ratebeer is the lamest online diary ever.
