Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours. Bronze Medal Winner at The International Brewing Awards 2013, Silver Medal winner at the 2014 International Beer Challenge and Gold Medal Winner at The Indie Beer Can Awards 2014 (Contains barley & rye). Available (pasteurised) in 500ml bottles and 440ml cans.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 Bottle from supermarket. Citrus aroma. Grapefruit-like bitterness to it which unfortunately my tastebuds aren’t fond of. I imagine if i were fond of grapefruit it would be an easy to drink, pleasant beer. Must try again further down the line.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2019 Very pleasant, light ale - especially when chilled. Good citrus aroma. Bottle from supermarket, and would happily drink more.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2019 15-03-2019; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in England). The looks of the beer are very nice. It looks like a Pale Ale. Golden yellow colour, approaching amber. The beer is very clear. On top there is a nice layer of fine slightly orange white foam. Foam retention is average. Not bad. The aromas of the beer are nice. The malts aren't to special. They give just a bready base note. On top of this there are some very nice hop aromas. Hops defiantly have the priority in this beer. They are nice and fruity, zesty, and slightly stone fruit. Very nice and fresh. There is also a slight fry hop note. Hops are also a tiny bit spicy. Quite nice. The taste of the beer is also nice. The malts are medium sweet, and the hops are quite bitter. Even though the bitterness is stronger, the beer remains quite balanced. Very nice and refreshing. The palate of the beer is nice. Medium body, slithy sticky texture, and medium carbonation. The finish of the beer has nice stone fruity and zesty hops. The beer gets my approval. Nice one, but not mega special. Just a very good Pale Ale.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2019 Aroma citrus. Gold white lace. Taste medium sweet. Palate soapy aftertaste. Overall dull

rodsquad (752) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - FEB 23, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2019 Bottle from the shops. A clear dark amber with a thickish off white head. Looks superbly proud. Plenty pine and citrus peel for a more traditional style pale. Soft chewy toffee. Sweet tea leaf that builds in bitterness. A sweetmeal biscuit. Soft medium body, lightly carbonated. A very fine fruity ale packed with citrus pith and leafy bitterness that keeps you coming back for more. I can tell straight out, this would be a richer experience on cask.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2019 Насыщенный янтарный цвет, пены мало. Аромат манго и цитрусов не сильный и приятный. Горечь умеренная. Хорошее пиво.

Scopey (19298) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - JAN 12, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2019 Bottle in Portlethen. It pours clear golden with a decent foamy white cap. The aroma is quite soft, fresh, zingy lemon, lemonade, lime cordial, . The taste is firmly dry, floral, quite clean, decent bite of bitterness, bit of peppery spice, citrus action, lemony, pithy, zesty, slight soapy vibes and some greenness with a drying and bitter linger. Lighter end of medium body and soft, foamy carbonation. Nice citrusy golden. Drinkable stuff.

Erzengel (11150) - Saarland, GERMANY - JAN 2, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2019 Many thanks to beerhunter111 for sharing. Dry grainy beginning. Lots of citrus there, grain, very dry. Easy to drink, malt, grain and very dry lemon floral hops over a light and grainy body.

BubbleTapper22 (16) - - DEC 19, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2018 A very well crafted pale ale. Very tropical taste and aroma makes it a perfect beer to savour on a hot afternoon. Pours hazy gold/orange out of can. Taste is citrusy with hints of pine and a light toffee malt backbone, followed with a grapefruit like citrusy bitterness. After taste of lychees surprisingly. A refreshing rendition of a pale ale with a very tropical tone makes it perfect for the Australian climate. One of my most favoured beers.
