@ kelk thnx to dad / jeroen Pours dark murkey brown no sign of carbo Smells boozy , hoppy . Taste is extremely bitter , but only in the back . Malty feel too , some dark malts . Bit sweet . Interesting , but too weak in complexity , and too boozy

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Viscous, near black, no head. Aroma of calvados and licorice. Sweet and massive bodied with thick, oily mouthfeel. Molasses, licorice whiskey and white pepper. Really boozy finish.

Poured a headless reddish brown. Aroma of overwhelming alcohol soaked berries. Full body flavour is as the aroma, a bit of a buttery toffee note. Not balanced. Certainly not an IPA or black.

Bottle at the Deanso’s monthly RB tasting, July 2013. Poured a clear chesnut brown with no head and no carbonation at all. The aroma is pure rich alcohol. This is not black and its no IPA. It’s more like a regular cognac to be honest. This really is 24% or more. It’s not a beer IMO and hard to rate. Interesting to taste in very small quantities. I could not drink a whole bottle!

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2013 Bottle. Clear red with no head. Smells cognac-ish, so much alcohol. Not a black ipa. Eisbock-barley wine is more like it. Very medicinal. Too much alcohol. Taste is burning my throat. Really bad.

kermis (18400) - Amsterdam-ish, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2013
Bottle shared at Dean’s sticky table tasting. Pours hazy brown with no head. Aroma is really boozy, raisins, alcohol, like a bad gin, nothing like a black ipa! Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet. Thick burning mouthfeel. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Pretty bad.

deanso (11739) - Georgetown, MALAYSIA - JUL 12, 2013
sample at Dean’s Monthly Den Haag tasting courtesy of Kermis. Not black and not an IPA: Clear alcohol aroma. Looks and tastes like a liquer. alcohol burn.

Bottle ? ml
Aroma bold with plenty of sweet mats. Leafy grassy hops fail in balancing nose. Plenty of alcohol heat.
Top: off white small top. lasting.
Base: clear, black with garnet hue.
Palate : hefty ale with creamy heavy body. Lower carbonation. Warming heat.
Taste: as in aroma, heavy bold with slight medicinal notes.
Other notes: raw hefty behemoth. Overpowering. Must be shared with others.

Marheb (6366) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 31, 2013
Mondial de la bière 2013: Beaucoup de d’ethanol tranchant si je compare aux autres liquide de même envergure. Malts foncés et houblons tentent de survivre malgré tout.
