UPDATED: OCT 14, 2023 (Bottle) Pours clear dark toffee coloured with a good dense off-white head. Pleasant aroma - yeasty with notes of toffee and chocolate. Medium bodied with mouth filling soft carbonation. Taste has plenty of yeast flavours, some toffee sweetness and some modest bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2023 Gushing! Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso il fruttato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, frutta secca, agrumi, mandarino, marron glacé, erbe aromatiche e frutta passita.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2023 Bottle from LCB. Amber brown with big off white foamy head. Aroma has a sweet malt, caramel, yeast, berries. Taste has a similar characteristic but more spicy and bitter in the finish than expected, some chocolate also. Medium bodied, soft mouthfeel. Excellent.

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2023 Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel spicy yeasty aroma. Fruity malty caramel spicy flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2023 Poured from 330 mL bottle (bb 22/07/2023) from Midi train station since my train was cancelled. Hazed brown with small beige head. Belgian yeast, touch of toffee and spices. Decent all around.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2023 330ml bottle part of a Beer Hawk mystery box. It's a very pleasant brown. I enjoyed the blonde stable mate and this is just as pleasant. Fairly strong at 8% but doesn't have that strong taste you can get with some Belgian beers.

En boca cuerpo medio, media carbonatación, desprende muchos matices, ciruelas pasas, dátiles, regaliz, final largo, licoroso, seco...Buena cerveza, como no podía ser menos para una trappense (...o ex trappense)

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2023 Flot i glasset med et virkeligt smukt højt stabilt kakaofarvet skum. Duften er præget af gær og citrus, mens smagen har fyldige velafstemte nuancer af kaffe, chokolade, ølgær underbygget af lidt mørk karamel. Humlingen er mest til den aromatiske side og afbalancerer med sin lette citrusprægede bitterhed sødmen, mens citrus indslagene skaber friskhed.
