COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Golden Blend is made with 4 year old Lambic that accounts for 25 % of it’s contents, the rest of the blend is made up by a "secret" combination of 1, 2 and 3 year old Lambic.

The exact mixture is only known by the master-blender Armand himself.

The name "Golden Blend" is not far away from the truth, in fact, the 4 years of maturation in oak-wooden barrels is making this particular Lambic very expensive.

Due to the "evaporation" through the barrels, only a small percentage of the lambic is left over after 4 years of maturing.

The 2015 version (bottle date 12/03/2014) has 7.5% ABV (although some labels say 6%)

Sampler. Nieco dzikości, ale dominują nuty czipsów serowych. W smaku nawet niezłe, niska kwaśność.

Bottle at 3F. Pours a deep gold, with a a fizzy off-white head that fades quickly. Aromas are heavy funk, light barnyard, cobweb, leather, hay, light bread. Taste follows with waves of funk, coupled with a medium tart note. Hay, leather, light dough, light earth. Hints of wood and grape skin. Lovely beer.

Bottle, at Be Hoppy 3F tasting, Madrid. Bottled on 05/02/2016. Pours golden with white head. Was a bit surprised with the carbonation, the cork went to the ceiling. Citrus, lemon, funk, barnyard, some leather, wood. Opens up as it warms and gets more and more complex. Dry with moderate+ sourness. Soft texture. Medium bodied.

Vintage 2011, tack David!

37.5cl heavy-glassed green bottle. Bottled 17/2/11 (BB 2/21). ABV 6%. Hazy deep amber appearance, white head doesn’t last long. Definite funky aromas, horseblanket, musty vinous oak barrels, orchard apples, a whiff of sweaty socks. Palate is vinous, definitely sour, almost vineragy, dry and tart. Not overpowering though and quite refreshing after a few sips. Medium bodied and slick on the tongue. A fine example of the style.

herrklemann (991) - Graz, AUSTRIA - MAR 17, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 17, 2018 Bottle, shared by SinH4. Medium, stable white head on a cloudy amber body. Burnt gum, bread crust, apples. Light sweetness, turns astringent and dry. Medium body, super soft carbonation. A bit too astringent, with a bit too much tire fire to be balanced.
