UPDATED: AUG 8, 2020 This one was an excellent conclusion to a night of pizza and beer on a Midwestern midsummer night patio. Chocolate maltiness and rye spices in the nose. Taste is smoothly sweet with incredible balance considering all the hopiness about. Long, smooth, sweet finish. This half-litter bottle had been waiting in the beer fridge for at least a few years and, unfortunately, had no bottling date on the label or bottle. A great porter.

GregMooreNH (5083) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 5, 2020

yann28 (789) - - APR 9, 2020

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2020 Bottle aged 3,5 years (bottled 09.08.2016, best before date 09.08.2020). APPEARANCE: Dark as a moonless night, coffee coloured black with brown edges. Medium short lived beige head. NOSE: French roasted Arabica coffee, cola, dark chocolate, liquorice, rye bread, fresh lemons. TASTE: Rather fruity for a porter, mild but noticeable rye spice character, medium to medium rich body, medium carbonation (fine mousse), slight sweetness on the mid palate. Dry and mildly spiced aftertaste, long. OVERALL: A different, lovely and very satisfying Porter.

eXORRO (602) - POLAND - OCT 5, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2019 Aroma of chocolate, coffee, dried plums, caramel. Clear, 'porterish', quite intensive. Taste of coffee, chocolate, caramel, plums, licorice. Medium bitterness, low carbonation. Medium body - as rye porter imo should be more oily - add more rye! Solid but not great one.

RuneStumo (3288) - Haugesund, NORWAY - AUG 7, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2019 07.08.2019. On tap at Schouskjelleren mikrobryggeri, Oslo. 2016 edition. Black colour with tan head. Dense and sharp. Dark malts. Slightly sweet with pretty rich flavours of dark malts. Chocolate, coffee and caramel. Soft bitterness that gors very well with the malt. Very good.
