labeerinthum (7895) - Milano, ITALY - DEC 18, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2019 Bottiglia.

Cimbasso (2034) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2019 Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Pours a reddish mahogany colour with a beige head. Malty taste with tons of rye flavour. Some caramel sweetness but the slightly astringent taste of the rye dominates. Bitter finish and medium mouthfeel. Not particularly easy to drink.

Beautiful dark amber colour, too much foam. Aroma of caramel, popcorn, nuts, a bit roasty. Slightly sweet, mostly bitter. Very nice taste and strong finish.

Bottle ordered online from Beautiful Beers. Orange/brown and pretty much clear with a large foamy beige head. In the bottle, I detect a nutty and slightly smoky malt-led aroma with toffee undertones. When I pour it it takes on an almost floral note in the aroma with a touch of plastic. The taste is sweet with a wonderful balancing leafy hop that never obscures the malty richness. Hazelnut, orange peel and rye bread in the aftertaste. Recommended.

simontomlinson (6589) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2017
Fluffy beige head stayed on a lightly carbonated oak coloured body. Big aroma of dark berries, rye, demerara & malt. Medium body, prickly on the tongue but smoother down the throat. Clean on the aft. Malt, dark berries, stone fruits, dark sugar & very fruity tangy finish. Very similar to an English Bitter of old. Excellent Pint of Bitter!

Caramelly aroma, some rye spiciness. A bit thin. Reddish brown, small tight head. Rich spicy rye grain taste, sweet caramelly malts. Finish pleasantly bitter, quite herbal, a bit soapy, woody. Medium full palate, some of which is residual sugars. Decently woody bitter.
