UPDATED: NOV 23, 2020 Fine coffee and chocolate aroma. Taste is smooth and silky. Well balanced, fine hopy and faint coffee finish.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2020 Jet black color with tanned head. Aroma has roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Taste is malty sweet with long somewhat bitter aftertaste. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee and some ash. Excellent.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2020 Pours black with a nice creamy head. Aroma: very interesting herbal and pine aroma coupled with citrus. Taste is a mix of chocolate and slight roastiness, but also herbs and pine.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2019 Keg at the kernel tap room. A opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting frothy tan head. Aroma is massive piney hop, earthy toast, charred barrel, some cow pat. Palate is semi sweet, spicy moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of rich dark roasted malts, resinous piney hop, woody bark, firm bitterness, layered roasted malts, little salt. Top notch.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2019 Keg, Tap and Barrel, Wigston. Very good brown with a beige head. Coffee with dark chocolate. Earthy. Medicinal with liquorice. Biscuit. Earthy with floral pine notes. Very good.
