COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the summer of ’74, the kids at school went crazy about one man - Bruce Lee. Enter the Dragon had hit our shores and, across the playground, second-graders were mastering their roundhouse kicks. But where other boys saw an idol, brother Dave saw an oppurtunity. Without delay, he asked me to cut up mum’s wretched bamboo screen into eight-inch sticks. Lashed together with old rope, these hand-made nunchucks fetched the pricely sum of two Sunnyboys each. Business was booming until Ms Woodruff busted him with four sets in his schoolbag. We dedicate this beer to the legend of Bruce and the brief trade that followed

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2019 Spotted on tap at the Oriental Tea House, this beer was a good pick to serve with/contrast the robust, oily food flavours. A light, fun rice lager. Easy to come back for seconds.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2019 Decent for a lager. Doesn't go easy on the rice, it delivers what it promises.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2019 Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear very pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of straw and rice with a touch of sweetness supporting. Flavor has lots of rice and grains with a slight sweetness and straw underlying.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2018 330ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a smallish white head, which fades fairly quickly. Rice, floral and light citrus hops in the aroma. Quite strong lemon hops up front, very light body, hints of white rice, crisp finish. Very good for what it is. Tastes like the archetype of what a third world lager could be.

On tap at brewery. Pale yellow with thin white head and fruity citrus aroma that could masquerade as a Sav Blanc. Probably the best tasting lager a hop head could hope for. The fruity hops range from mandarin to green grapes in the finish. A big step up from a more famous rice lager...

330mL bottle from Slowbeer Pale straw body, clear body, white foam. Moderate nose to it - get a distinct grainy malt character with fragrant floral & citrusy hops. Medium-light body, drying texture but clean overall. Grainy, husk, cereal sort of malt - provides a dryness of its own early on - leads into moderate fruity hops & florals, and a restrained bitterness. Really nice overall - a lager that would compete with most golden & some pale ales.

Draft at Taps, Changkat. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, light fruity hops, herbal hops, citrus and light malt. Flavour is above light sweet and light to moderate bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation.

330ml bottle into glass. Sweet malt nose. Pale amber with thin film on top. Slight zing, fruity taste. Sweet finish. Superior Asian style lager. Super easy drinking, whole glass gone in an instant.

jmgreenuk (19376) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 14, 2015
Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is citrus yeast. The flavour is herbal veggie, very light sour with a citrus light acid light mineral palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.
