A crisp refreshing cask conditioned real ale. The pronounced hop flavour, derived from US Cascade hop pellets and a subtle maltiness combine to purvey a refreshing session ale.

(On tap) Pours clear gold with goo white head. Nice aroma - citrus and pine over biscuit background. Light body, well carbonated. Taste is biscuity malt and peppery spice up front, then gets rather thin with a little kick of bitterness in finish. Ok

Pint on tap at brewery. Golden amber beer with a solid white head. Slight haze, little carbonation. Sweet nose of tangerine and malt. Flat mouthfeel, watery bitterness. Good quencher, more like a ESB than an APA.

On tap at Wig & Pen Brewery, Canberra. Pours a pale amber gold with a solid white head. Aroma: Malt, citrus, grass, mild tropical notes. Taste: Biscuity malt, citrus, mild caramel malt. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Mildly bitter. Smooth. Easy drinking. Not a complex or particularly interesting flavour balance, but it is definitely easy to drink.

Cask. Hazy light amber. Aroma has a nice black currant juiciness, a touch of butter, earthy, very English.

180715. This is my first beer from Wig & Pen and it is most unusual to find their beers outside of Canberra. This pale ale was on tap at The Scratch - I think the guys from The Scratch possibly get these beers because they are originally from Canberra. This is a good strong pale ale with everything that you want in a beer. While not earth shatteringly great it is by no means below par. Toffee butterscotch colour with the slightest of heads. Full flavoured with no bitterness at all. Flavour wise this beers probably sits in the mid range but there are flavours of hops and citrus and also some floral hops in the aroma - nothing over the top. A good solid beer that I would recommend seeking out if you can.

Peaches and cream with grassy undertone. Moderately bitter finish. Meh, nothing special.

Hand-pulled English style pale ale. Taste at the Wig and Pen. This was OK, I prefer many other of their beers.

KeefOz (3497) - TARRAGINDI, AUSTRALIA - MAR 12, 2014
Tasted 6/3/2014. Draught at "Wig & Pen", Canberra. Poured a clear golden amber colour with one- to two-finger white frothy head that retained very well but laced poorly. Carbonation nil. Aroma very nice with sweet fruity hops (possibly passionfruit) with malty under-tones. Aroma is very nice but doesn’t transfer to the taste. Taste of sweet tropical fruits plus a slight bitterness. Light body with a thin mouthfeel. Smooth, light with a long but slightly too bitter finish.

Old notes 11/2/09 Draught at Brewery, Canberra Pale gold body, holds a fluffy white head. Nice nose of hoppy citrus peel and guava, with a hint of light biscuity malt. Medium body, decent carbonation. More hop citrus on the body, bit of grassiness, with a backbone of light caramel malt character. Decent bitterness on a clean finish. Decent drop, very drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub. Served a golden color with a decent head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of citrus an d s ome malt sweetness. Just a bit of grain in the background. Taste starts with a mild citrus nip, with an easy malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, mild crispness, smooth with a nice texture. Week balanced. Easy drinker, good for a few. Worth a try.
