courtesy of Markus Obrist - hazy amber-orange beer with a poor head retention; aorma of esters, spices, pears and apples; sweet and fizzy, a good malt backbone, light chewy and sticky ; lot of residual sweetness and more ripe fruits and esters in the finish

Bottle from a French Supermarket. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, light fruit hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry, crisp, mineral, aspirin, woody, aromatic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from Britt Brasserie and Brewery in Tregunc, Brittany, France, consumed at Camping Brehadour, Guerande, Brittany, Thursday 15th June 2017 Pours amber with a white head, hazy appearance. A little light toffee, tastes thin and yet it’s 7.7%, yes toffee and caramel are the only real things that I can detect here. A complete lack of hops it’s ok at best. A6 A3 T5 P3 Ov11 2.8

Très faible effervescence, assez âpre et amère. Pas désagréable, sans être exceptionnelle.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 25A, adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch DD127-128F3 (BBF 10/03/18). AROMA: moderate cereal hull flavor, with faint phenolics (clove) and slight sweet malty background. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and clear. medium white head with medium-low retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with notes of cereal hull and some faint toasty malty-sweet background. medium-low bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium body with a slight creaminess. astringency present. OVERALL: a Blond Ale-type beer with excessive cereal hull presence, leading to taninnic astringency.

Zilb (423) - Fontenay Sous Bois, FRANCE - SEP 4, 2016

Pours a clear amber with a white fluffy head. The aroma is alcohol and dark fruits. Nice even bittersweetness.
