mcberko (41820) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2023 On tap at Small Bar, pours a cloudy dark rusted red with a small beige head. Aroma is fragrant, with lots of spicy rye, big resinous hops, and slight toasted caramel… maybe traces of diacetyl? Flavour seems more or less on point, with lots of spicy rye, resinous hops, earthy hops, and dry toasted bready malt. Very rye-dominant but it’s well-situated and the hops are potent. Good stuff even if a tad harsh.

BeardedAvenger (7319) - New Haw, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2023 Keg at Rwd Hand, Dalston. 7%. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Fruit and rye. Cloudy-opaque dark amber. Creamy off-white head. Sweet umami rye... qas going to say 'bomb' but it's just way too smooth. Bitter close. Light. Thin but slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. The smooth bomb.

DraftDodger (7617) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2021 Copenhagen 30/12 2021. 33 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. Brown paper label with the name of beer and brewery in black. The version of I am drinking is holding an ABV of 7,1. Pours unclear - almost hazy - dark amber with a big off-white head. Stable. Settles a 5 cm thick crown of foam completely covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is a bit dampened by the massive amount of foam. Medium intense with a sweet, slightly malty odor mingling with a scent of sweet tropical fruit and citric notes. Rye malt with a bit of pepper and wet soil. Peach and grapefruit. Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, very smooth, almost flat texture. Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a pleasant sweet undertone. Finish is dry. Fine brew where the Rye stands out. Smooth and pleasant but with an appropriate bitter bite.
