Zlotta (3972) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - OCT 18, 2017
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'toom', best before April 2018. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little grassy aroma of grains, straw and a touch of caramel. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a bit malty and slightly grassy taste of grains, some caramel and hints of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and quite yeasty finish with a metallic touch. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. One of the worst I've had from Oettinger so far, pretty yeasty as if something went wrong here, didn't like it at all!

Bov (13284) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 29, 2016
courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - translucide bright bronze beer with no head retention; aroma paperboard and grain; medium-bodied; harsh, bitter and grainy, papery finish

2.6
hauxe (964) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - NOV 16, 2016
Pours dark gold from the bottle. The creamy white head soon fades. Aroma is very much that of a Kellerbier or Märzen, with dank basement notes set atop caramel and alcohol undertones. Taste is malty sweet with caramel and honey notes. Finish is short and fades off into nothing. Body trends light. Not your usual Helles. It is not a bad beer, but a flawed one.

peponi (2048) - Strzelce Wielkie, POLAND - SEP 23, 2016
Aroma: DMS, wort notes, herbs.
Appearance: clear golden color and thin white head.
Taste: low herbal bitterness, wet socks, malty, wort, semi-dry.
Palate: medium body and low carbonation, malty.
Overall: Really average.

nybol (2372) - DENMARK - SEP 17, 2016
En klassisk tysk øl, maltet smag og en næsten anonym bitterhed, som dog varer længe.

Cthulhu (1031) - MARSHALL ISLANDS - JUL 19, 2016
50 cl bottle. Malt aroma . Orange/ amber color.Small head. Short lasting retention. Flavor also dominated by malt. For me that’s no Helles, more like a Maerzen.

ischas (820) - - FEB 24, 2016
0,5 l Flasche. Nachgeschmack: Leicht bitter, leicht modrig. Gesamt: Grundsolides Bier für diesen Preis.

Quinten (1062) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2015
At Real Supermarkt Bocholt Germany. 500ml Bottle. Dark gold with some decent head. Light sweetness and notes of malt, a bit fruity scent. Good for its price.

2.5
bartlebier (4159) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - AUG 13, 2015
50cl bb02/2016, Edeka up North Schleswig-Holstein of all places. Decent honey grain notes in aroma merge into coarser malt caramels, studded by a good helping of hayish hops. Soggy cardboard mid. Not stellar, but much better than expected from this high-output discount brewery.

3.4
Gangstergafje (1307) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - JUL 29, 2015
The beer looks like a pilsner. The color is a dark yellowy gold. The foam is white and rough and collapses quickly. The smell is sweet and has some light sour hop aroma’s. The smell also little alcohol sweetness. The taste is good. A nice refreshing hop flavor, a nice bitterness, a little sweetness. The different flavors are in goof balance, with the bitterness being just a little bit stronger, to give that real Urtyp appearance. A really nice beer.
