While the legend of Mad Tom is laden with mystery and intrigue, one thing remains clear: Mad Tom did things his own way. Twice as Mad Tom is an aggressively twice-dry-hopped Imperial India Pale Ale, that delivers a definitive hop aroma & unabashedly big bold flavour. We brew this beer with the road less traveled in mind, and in the spirit of old Mad Tom...we make no bones about it.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2019 I'm a big fan of IPA's and I quite like the Mad Tom IPA. The Twice As Mad, i don't like as much, but it's a nice alternative when you want something a little hoppier. You definitely get the citrus notes in this beer and it's very nice served cold on a hot summer day.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2018 This ipa poured a light amber colour with a creamy white head. Citrus, grass and honey and resin. First swig was not as much of a kick to the head as figured. Flavours of resin, honey and light coconut. Finish is almost syrupy thick with heavy hop flavours that linger forever

Couleur d'un agréable jaune-paille, limpide, proposant un timide col blanc. Flaveur agrumée, importante effervescence. Goût citroné, conifères avec une jolie finale agrumée. Ma préférée des bières que proposent la brasserie Muskoka.

bottled - cloudy orange color. A typical double IPA. Super hoppy aroma and flavor.

RobBestwick (1106) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 1, 2018
473ml can. Fresh citrus and floral aroma. Golden in colour with a froth white head. Sharp bitter flavour with hints of orange peel and grapefruit and some nice balancing malts. Medium to full body. Long bitter finish with alcohol warming.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy medium gold color. Small creamy beige head. Sweet grainy malt nose. Flavor is sweet toasted malt with dank citrus. Notes of melon and berry in middle. Sharp citrus notes in finish.

473 ml can. BB May/03/2018. At the Timo A’s O Canada Tasting. Slightly cloudy golden color with a small white head. Sweet caramel, sweet fruity hops, mild glue, forest and apples in the aroma. The flavor is apple juice, resiny hops, bitterness, sweetness, caramel malt and pine. A bit messy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

473 ml can @ Timo A. BBE 03.05.2018.
Pours clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and citric, some resinous hops, toffee notes, slightly oily, green apples. Flavor is lemony, grassy notes, pineapple, some peach too, bland overall. A bit weird, not very pleasant either.

My taste has been skewed by the sake I took earlier. Although this one's reputation was somewhat reassuring.

Jrich (1) - USA - OCT 16, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2017 I'm not tasting what everyone else is discussing. for a DIPA, I was expecting a heavier beverage as opposed to the light flavor. Not bad, but definitely not a top tier IPA.
