adster (1041) - HUNGARY - DEC 23, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2018 Igen erőteljes borostyán színben fürdőzik, angolos modorú, mézesen malátás, krétaporos karakterű élesztős lepelbe burkolózik. Ízjegyei teltek, árnyalatnyit datolyás, aszalványos, shortbread-es világúak, a levezetés azonban határozott, markánsan kesernyés, száraz, de kiegyensúlyozott. Természetéből adódóan valóban méltó kísérője lehet különféle ünnepi csemegéknek, én azonban egymagában fogyasztottam el a régi idők báját magán hordozó címkével rendelkező karácsonyi főzetet.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2018 On bottle. Pours deep red-brown, with small head. Scent: Lots of spices, sweet malts, dates and raisins. Taste: Anise, liquorice, ginger-ish, lots of spices. Sweet. Texture: Thin and high co2.

Bottiglia.

Grumbo (7837) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2018
Bottle from Snape Maltings. Pours mid brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of Christmas spices, Christmas cake, dried fruit, toffee and hint of chocolate. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Full bodied, rich oily texture, average carbonation,

Bottle at home bought from the Old Jerusalem. A good pour and a surprisingly light colour in the glass with a minimal head. There was a lovely malt and caramel flavour that was balanced by the St Peter's bitter hops. This was rich and warming and I thought that the malt and hops were perfectly balanced. I would classify this as a double winter warmer. Lovely.
