750 mL growler. Unknown original review date. Light yellow body. Slight haze and a small white head. Nice surface wisps. Very lemony aroma. Orange citrus hop, too. Fine line between lemon and hops. Hoppy up front with a more distinct orange citrus hop flavor. After that it’s incredibly lemony. Just a touch of grainy malt before a lightly bitter lemony finish. Extremely light. Well carbonated. I could gulp this down, but I guess that’s the idea. As always, technical perfection from Hill Farmstead. It’s very light in both body and flavor, but very drinkable as a result.

In short: A juicy and very lemony blond IPA. Uber-refreshing poolside IPA.
How: Tap at Blackback Pub, Waterbury VT.
The look: Cloudy yellow-blond body topped by a medium white head that quickly recedes to a persistent small layer of foam leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is very lemony, overall citrusy and a bit grassy. Taste has the signature Hill Farmstead malt/water, fresh bakery bread and crackery, plenty of very soft bubbles creating a voluptuous super-comfortable monthfeel. Over this smooth doughy malt structure is an attack of fresh lemons, lemon zest, grapefruits, mangos, banana purée, apricots, fruit salad. Very good but not quite up to par with usual HF IPAs, it is a very refreshing brew but the Meyer lemons used in this beer made it a little “girly” fruity, and as much as I liked it I’m almost certain I would have preferred the base IPA without the lemons. But you know what they say, when life hands you lemons, make a beer with them.

Growler... Cloudy straw-colored pour with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose wafts lemon peel, white bread and a hint of cereal grains. Light-bodied and raspy with tickling carbonation. The flavor delivers a boatload of medium to heavy citrus rind bitterness. Finishes bitter, astringent and bone-dry. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

Flip top 750 growler @ a recent bottle share... Poured hazy golden with a mild head. Nice drinkable beer and so much flavor for such a low abv. Bready malts with citrus and earthy, grassy spices. Not at all bitter but some pleasant hop tones in there too.

Slightly cloudy yellow gold color poured from a 750 ml growler. Super fresh lemon aromas deep in the nose of this beer. Light citrus yeast qualities in the taste along with the Meyer lemon. Balanced light hoppy bitterness makes it taste not too far off from and American Pale as well. Really tasty and easy to drink and at such a low ABV. Enjoyed this beer.

750 flip-top at home by myself. Thanks Adam!! Pour is hazy lemon peel with a big, fluffy, white head and great lacing. Big lemon, lemongrass, citrus, light pine, somewhat tangy, doughy, straw, and light phenols in the aroma. Taste is big lemon zest, grass, somewhat earthy, a touch tart, yet bitter, light, crisp, refreshing, with dough, straw, and bread on the backend ending somewhat dry. Light body with crisp carbonation. Such a light and refreshing beer, yet so complex. Awesome session beer!!

Sampled at the brewery. Pours cloudy golden. Aroma of a lot of hops for the style, hints of citrus, and caramel malts. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

Growler thanks to yourefragile. Cloudy blonde pour with beautiful fluffy white head. Nose and flavor bring some good hoppy bite, but with primarily orange zest, lemonade, grass, and slightly floral character. The citrus character is so refreshing and so damn good. Lovely as always from Shaun.

Draft at lord hobo, blonde pour slightly cloudy. Mayer lemons set the stage here. Great Lemon flavor, juice and zest. Refreshing, lighter mouthfeel. Very nice

Shared by Paul tonight. Thanks a lot man! The beer is indeed blonde. Moderately hazy with an inch of soft, white head. The aroma offers lemons, floral notes, lemon zest, followed by a light dose of bready malts. Good flavor. Pretty straightforward. Pronounced lemon character throughout. Light in body with a tangy, crisp finish. A solid example of the style.
