Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear nut brown. Raisiny nose with some caramel. Sweet with full body and oily, dense mouthfeel. Raisiny with dark bread and notes of treacle. Warming finish.

Bottled (from BierZwerg). Very deep ambery brown colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild ripe fruits, some toffee and mild sugary notes. Flavour is rather similar, but has a quite strong alcoholic sweetness to it. Quite nice, although the alcohol is a bit disturbing if taking bigger sips of it. As for a "small slow sipper" this is a good doppelbock though.

Bottle 500ml (from BZ)
Clear deep ruby color, small off-white head. Bready, caramalt, some raisins in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramalt, raisins, alcohol and light earthy notes in the flavor. Robust and quite sweet and as such not a kind of doppelbock I’d love.

Pours a very dark brown with a moderate head. Nose is fairly malty, which previews a somewhat fruity taste.

Bottle. Amber, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, caramel and light bread, light dark fruits and alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread with faint dark fruits, light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some caramel and faint bread, some alcohol. Sweetish doppelbock with caramel. 7,8% makes the finish bit drier. Finish has too much alcohol considering the body.

500ml Flasche.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts fine malty, roasty, not too intense. Some interesting earthy notes. Finish milder, less intense malty. Okay.

McTapps (7480) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAR 2, 2014
Pours out of the bottle in a deep dark brown colour with low head and medium to smooth body. Nice aroma of nuts and malt. Taste of malt, roast, flowers, barley, wheat and bread. Hints of dried fruits and high alcohol. Smooth and nice to drink.
