COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, keg and bottle; Regular.
Brewed at Hambleton until 7 August 2014, when Northern Monk’s own kit came into operation.

A descendant of October beer, India Pale Ale is now one of the most popular styles in the world. Originally brewed in the 1700s by Hodgson’s Bow Brewery in London and exported to India by the East India Company. This beer has been through a 300 year evolution. Our New World IPA uses a combination of US, Australian and British hop varieties and is inspired by the hop ratios and techniques originally used.

Can from Sterk in Amsterdam. Classic IPA with lots of hops and fruits. Strong one with a full body and a decent bitterness towards the end. Alittle bit alcoholic, too.

Off white airy head left a good cover on a hazy copper coloured finely carbonated body. Spices, Tropical fruit & sweet citrus aroma. Medium bodied with a tickle on the palate & a smooth back. Bitter/Sweet citrus, confectionery, hops, grapefruit & pith tastes.

[email protected] DØE 20 year anniversary. Appearance: pours slightly hazy amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, citrus, light pine, light grapefruit and hints of tropical fruits. palette: medium hoppy aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium sweetness, balanced by medium to notable bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: decent straightforward ipa

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2018 Orange and toffee on the nose. Bit of damp carpet and cheese also. Big pine flavours with lingering bitterness. Fairly sweet at first then bitter edge comes through. Needs a sharpness to cut through the hops in my opinion. Decent IPA though, available in supermarkets
