33cl bottle pours with a nearly clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting hops that are spicy and a bit fruity and then behind the hops is a modest maltiness that has a caramel malt like edge to it. The taste is chewy with up front hoppy goodness from spicy to citrus grapefruit like hops that have a pleasing level of bitterness and blend in beautifully with the various mild levels of maltiness. Goodness, this is hitting the spot right now. Fresh chewy yet snappy hops amid a perfect ESB malt base that only deepens the hoppiness. .Nice. This has got to be one of the better ESB I’ve had.

Countbeer (6586) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium to bigger sized creamy fluffy head on top of a hazy orange colored beer. Aromas of berries, cream, malts, some lacto tones, hops and a hint of porridge. Flavours of cream, iron, malts, bitters, butter, meat, malts, hay, wood and herbs. Aftertaste is a mix of hay with some good strong bitters, yeast and herbs. Low carbo, light creamy light watery light spicy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a watery texture. Aroma is meh, flavour is yeah...

Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip. ABV 5.6% Deep orange colour on the body, very clear, no activity in it. Huge off-white head, thick, with good retention. Spots of acing left around the glass every here and there. Very fruity aroma, mango, citrus, mandarines, light orange peel, quite hoppy. Taste also of citrus and fruis, a bit tropical, light pepper, a touch of caramel. Quite bitter aftertaste, very good. Medium thin body, soft carbonation. Overall very nice beer, aromatic and tasty, I wouldn’t call it an ESB though, more of an American pale ale for me, still quite good.

Lore (6800) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 6, 2014
hazy golden colour, incredibly huge white head, which lasts for several minutes leaving back a thin white foam layer, which seems to remain forever; aroma of intensive fruityness (mango, mostly), floral hops, yeasty notes and maltyness; taste of tropical fruits, orange peel, some citrussy notes, floral hops, malty sweetness, hints of yeast, and peppery notes;excellent ESB! One of the bests, I’ve ever tasted

Light floral hops, fruity, yeasty. Spicy peppery bitterness, something mineral. Decent.

Saeglopur (3928) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAR 19, 2014
Bottle from bier-deluxe.de. Dark golden, hazy body, with big, frothy, white head, that leaves a lot of lacing. Great, fruity aroma of mango, passion fruit, tangerine, citrus, red fruits, candy, some grassy malt. Tastes of red fruits, lemon zest, pine, candy, grass, biscuit. Mouthfeel is light, with a medium carbonation and it finishes bitter, slightly sweet, slightly dry, with lemon zest, grass and some candy. As already said, this clearly is much more an IPA than an ESB. The only thing it shares with an ESB is the pretty thin mouthfeel. Overall tasty, well balanced and especially the nose is really nice.
