ironprog (145) - Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2021 16 oz. can. 8.2% ABV. AROMA: Sweet with fairly strong scents of banana, clove, and bubble-gum, followed by hints of licorice and raisins. APPEARANCE: Pours a cloudy, semi-translucent, reddish-brown. The head is off-white and dissipates slowly with good lacing. TASTE: It is slightly sweet, but nowhere near as sweet as the aroma would have you believe. Initial flavors of wheat, banana and clove. The backend is a little on the astringent side (probably due to the higher alcohol content), but I still get hints of raisins or other dark fruit. MOUTHFEEL: Medium-to-full bodied with average carbonation. The finish is crisp and a bit dry. OVERALL: It's a nicely constructed beer, but there's nothing that makes me say 'Wow!'. The aroma is quite nice, but doesn't really match what the beer delivers in flavor. The flavors, body, and appearance are all good ... just not outstanding. Don't get me wrong, I like the beer well enough, I just prefer a host of others over it. To be fair, I did drink this beer while it was still fairly cold from the refrigerator, rather than letting it warm up a bit beforehand. Next time, I will try it at room temperature to see if the flavors pop a little more.

LagerGuide122 (659) - - JAN 13, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2021 500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 8.2%. Hazy toffee with a generous, good-duration head. Spicy banana and raisin aroma, faint toffee. Low carbonation, medium texture. Clove spice, raisin and liquorice, a little toffee and banana. Crisp dry finish, a tad leafy. Well-assembled, nicely complex, and works well within the Schneider house style as a decent winter warmer, but is slightly underwhelming otherwise. Can't really fault it though. If you want a Weizenbock that brings the clove, this is your jam.

domination_94 (104) - SPAIN - DEC 13, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2020 Color marrón con destellos rojo rubí. Espuma abundante y persistente.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2021 Combines the best parts of a wheat beer and a dobbelbock for a beautiful mix of banana, cloves, breadiness caramelly malts, yeastiness, great thick mouthfeel. Possibly my favourite beer.
