Brewed in the”Dreimaischverfahren“(a brewing process) from selected dark malt, our Aiblinger Schwarzbier contrasts with every other dark by the typically fine-spicy malt aroma and the lightly rounded taste. The well-balanced bitter from the BIERART: Dunkel Export Münchner Brauart

Hallertauer aromatic hop creates a wholehearted and, nevertheless, not too sweet taste. A traditional, dark bier, created as it once was, in the finest breweries of Bavaria. The Aiblinger Schwarzbier has been awarded the DLG gold for many years. 12.5°

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2018 50cl bottle. It is a good dunkel with dark ruby colour, medium, beige head, and low Co2. Taste is coffee, dark fruits (ex. blueberry). There is smoke in the end of gulps. Nice.

rauchbierlover (1306) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 25, 2018
50 cl bottle. Rather a dunkel than a schwarzbier. Body is ruby/brownish with a tall, vanishing beige head. Aroma is caramel and cherries. Spicy taste with malty sweet notes, mostly caramel. Malty finish. Medium to low body, average carbonation, thin texture

BeerandBlues2 (15879) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 20, 2018
Draught at Smoke Ring, Roma. Pours clear tawny with a small, creamy beige head, medium retention. Moderate rich caramel and toast malt, dark fruits and light hop bitterness with a lightly sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2019 “Maxlrainer Aiblinger Schwarzbier“, Flasche (50 cl) von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienbraun, sahniger Schaum.

50cl bb11/2017 merci idiosynkrasie for catering to another preferred style. - Somewhat of a misnomer, going by the smaller print and Bierartbeschreibung "Dunkel Export" here. Immediately betrays its Dunkel pedigree in its stewed maroni caramel nose, some straight up cooked barley soup and Schwarzbrot sourness - no real intensely aromatic Schwarz roast. More Dunkel export and diluted caramel sirup in taste, tolerable but standard, with an grassy bitter finish that partly makes me question this Schwarz’s origins in a lighter export. Not bad as such that...

500 ml bottle, served in mug. Pours brown-reddish with medium-sized head. Roasted malt, nuts, raisins, some smoke, a bit acidic. Light bitterness, overall mild taste. Light bodied, soft carbonated. A bit watery and therefore easy drinking even in summer. Okay Dunkel.

hrabren (2978) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 31, 2016
0.5 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Goran. Reddish brown, small off-white head. Caramel, metallic, light roasty, nuts. Sweet, malty, nutty. Light body, soft to medium carbonation, light sweet finish. Average.
