COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Maxlrainer LEO WEISSE is the appellation distinguishing our classic pale wheat beer. This is the ultimate in fruity wheat beer taste and has continued to qualify for the DLG GOLD Award year in, year out.

LEO WEISSE with its full round taste and own inimitable character reigns supreme in Bavarian wheat beer realms, the real secret behind it lying in the brewery’s distinct method of producing top-fermented yeast. Even as the beer is being drawn, the gourmet senses the wonderful aroma it develops. Left to mature in the storage cellars, LEO WEISSE is bottled in its cloudy, unfiltered state, thus keeping the malt and yeast constituents fine and nourishing.

Like SCHLOSS GOLD, the Maxlrain LEO WEISSE, a DLG gold award-winning brew for years on end, is also available in smart 0.33l bottles.

5 August 2018. At Ammutson, Vienna. Cheers to Anke!
Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, foamy, white head; some lacing. Aroma of banana, bread & butter, honey, flowers & hand soap even, clove, nutmeg, wheat. It tastes medium fruity sweet, hints of banana & bread, buttery too, and light spicy bitter, clove-like, with a wheaty sour back. Dryish, spicy & peppery hoppy finish, a bit yeasty & bready. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice one!

PowY (2464) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 24, 2018
From tap at Ammutson, Vienna. Hazy, light orange with a white head. The aroma is very yeast with lots of spices, cloves, nutmeg, gingerbread, banana and pear. Medium body with a light to medium sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is medium malty and again yeasty - sweet biscuit, wheat, banana, orange, pear and less cloves than in the smell. Rather filling and full of flavor - maybe already a little bit overpowering.

A hazy dark yellow beer with a large white head. Harbal and clovy nose with low banana aroma. Medium sweet flavor with low bitterness and nice balance. High carbonation and good drinkability and mouthfeel. Quite nice and well balanced good weizen.

Light orange color, medium white head. Aroma banana, yeast. Hefe with most dominant banana taste, very high carbonation, light sweet. Finish is a bit weak, missing some citrus notes, but nevertheless very good.

500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy dark orange with foamy head. Banana aroma is dominant, some clove, vanilla, yeast. Mild taste. Almost no bitterness, a bit sweet and acidic. Creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonated. Finish a bit weak, but overall good Weißbier.

Bottle at Pivoteka. Murky ochre, huge thick white head, lasting. Aroma... Banana, caramel, light apple/glue. Full, light cloves. Nice, soft caramel and banana driven taste. Sweetish yet carbonated enough not to be cloying. Bit empty finish. Not world class but a very good weizen!

This beer got a pretty good balance between the Aroma and the bitterness. I’ve personally drank it many times already!

Enjoyed: On tap, in weizen. Appearance: Hazy yellow/orange colour, with rich white foam. Aroma: Wheat, corn, banana, cake. Palate: Medium body, low carbonation. Taste: Sweet, taste of cake. Overall impression: Nice, but I had better wheat beer.
