COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
3.2% ABV, 1.006 FG, 3.5 SRM, local Sonoran white wheat from Hayden Mills.

This ain’t your Grandaddy’s wheat ale! We embrace the crazy things that some other breweries will not speak of. All the "bugs and critters", as we say, go bonkers in the mash tun creating a sour mash. Similar to making yogurt and sauerkraut, a controlled temperature allows lactic acid creating bacteria to create a souring effect. We boil to politely "remove" the little guys. Refreshing, delightful, tangy, and just plain wonderful! (It’s OK to not like this one, at least you tried it!) Oh, and locally grown (Sossman Farms) Sonoran White Wheat is at the heart of this beer. Drink Local!

Food paring: Bavarian pretzel sticks.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2019 Draft at Brewpub with Patty and Kara. Poured a hazy golden color with almost no head. Aromas of sour mixed fruit. Flavor has a nice hardness to the mix of sour fruit.

Quite hazy straw hue under a thin rocky white head. Bright lemon zesty tart aroma that’s like lemon frozen slushee. Crisp cool flavor that’s lightly acidic with a delightful wave of sweet lemon zest candy tone. Super dry finish with a lingering wildness.

Draught @ Row 34, Boston. Opaque. Smells yeasty, has a tart, juicy quality. Simple, restrained example, but not bad.

Citrus/lemon forward nose and flavor on this cloudy yellow gold Berliner. Adequate tartness. Pleasant, if just a little bit one note. I think I'd dig the fruited versions of this base.

Draft at Fire on the Mountain Denver...gotta love GABF week. Very light straw color, some cloudiness. Nose is muted lemon and wheat, very light. Taste is very lightly tart with some lemon and light minerality and wheat. Very drinkable but also very boring. Not the best from these guys.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2017 Keg at Cafe Behemoth. It pours hazy yellow - gold with a small white head. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, tangy, sweet - sour, sugary, candy, sherbet, minerals, limeade, light acidity, decent mouth - pucker and straw with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Good contemporary example of the style. Fun.
