Bottle at Malahide Grand, 10th November 17. Pours transparent black, aroma is cocoa, some citrus, roasted malts. Taste is dark chocolate, bitter citrus, cocoa, a little watery, but not a bad BIPA. webbs1978 (7) - - AUG 31, 2017 does not count
Not quite black in colour. Holds its head ok. I personally like more robust flavour. Particularly as I do like a Guinness. Worth a try but some deeper and nicer black IPAs out there

I’ve had this a few times, not overly offensive in the hop department. Drinks more like a dark brown ale than a black IPA. Still very nice. Ascelja (1739) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - JAN 10, 2017

Somewhat empty. Not bad, but not very good, too.
Bottle. Blackish beer with a reddish tinge and a strong slightly off white coloured head. The aroma is gently roasted, and the flavour is quite bitter with good roastedness and hops. Overall a nice beer. Idiosynkrasie (7974) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 20, 2016
500ml bottle. Clear, darkest brown colour with ruby glimmer and average, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of red berries and dark berries, blueberry, a touch of plum, dark malty background with a pumpernickel touch. Taste is dry hoppy, fruity and dark malty, slightly doughy yeasty, notes of plum and red berries, a touch of pumpernickel, cocoa and dark chocolate. If not genuinely an Irish, definitely an un-American interpretation of the style.
