COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Classic Jersey-ism is “regular coffee.” Here when you order a “regular coffee” at any place you trust to make a pork roll and cheese you get a paper cup of coffee with “milk and 2 sugars” rather than a “black coffee that hasn’t had the caffeine removed.” Acidic bitter coffee flattened by milk and sweetened; the perfect foil for the salty unctuous savor of breakfast on a roll. For our homage to Jersey’s breakfast beverage, we teamed up with our neighbors at Fair Mountain Coffee Roasters looking for an elevated version of classic crappy coffee. We chose Mexican Chiapas for its bitterness akin to artichoke, roasting it a little darker than usual, along with Ethiopian Sidamo for its pleasant lemon-like acidity, which we pushed up through fermentation. We added this coffee blend to a high gravity golden cream ale, contributing our “milk and 2 sugars.” Drink Regular Coffee because running over a black beer with coffee is no way to get to work.

12 oz can shared by ebone1988. This is an interesting beer. The pour is a darker copper gold with a thinnrig of bubbly white head and some soapy lace left behind. The aroma is full of coffee and a strange sweet malt. It’s got a light lactose and a sweetness that just doesn’t belong. The flavor is also coffee heavy with a sweetness that doesn’t make any sense the flavor is a little worse. There is a strong milky sweetness and a hint of chocolate but the coffee is just a mess. The mouth feel is thinner and watery with a lack of carbonation and a lingeringly milky chocolate and coffee that doesn’t do anything for me. Ugh.

Can shared with koleminer20. Aroma is coffee, cream, sugar, booze, lactose, roasted malt, slight chocolate. Appearance is amber golden, light tan, slightly hazy. Taste is coffee, booze, roasted malt, sugar, lactose, awful sweetness that is unpleasant. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, cloying sweet sugar and old coffee aftertaste. Overall, bad.

can courtesy of tom10101 - thanks? not. pours unclear light but bright golden with a small reviving off-white cap offering some retention and lacing. dense honeyed maltiness, overly infused coffee, peppery and spicy pineyness, piney alcohol, lots of lactose sweetness. moderate carbonation, medium body - very oily; almost burning hot spicy-piney-coffee finish, cheap but very fruity barleywine with overly extracted coffee bean components. unique i guess. o-k.

12oz can shared by AdamChandler. Thanks Adam! Pours golden brown with a few bubbles. Aroma is coffee syrup. Taste is just shy of coffee syrup with a bit of carbonation and booze. Nice coffee flavor, but too sweet and boozy.

12 oz. can thanks to AdamChandler. Light brown color. Aroma is a metric butt ton of coffee with just a hint of creamer.

The flavor is mostly coffee, with huge amounts of lactose sugar. This is diabetes in a can. The texture is creamy but damn, it is cloying. You can easily spilt a can 5 ways. WAY sweet.
