UPDATED: FEB 20, 2019 Immediately preferred konas wheat beer. But after a couple it started to grow on me. A few flavours that I can’t put my finger on. Overall an odd but not bad golden ale

Big Wave offers a prominent aroma of sweet honey, plus grains and faint, dusty hops in the background. Fairly standard profile on the palate as well: plenty of sweetness and flavor of honey, a light maltiness and just a mere suggestion of minimally bitter hops. Light-medium in body with soft carbonation, finishing with a cleansing dryness and a touch of chalkiness. Hazy, golden color with very little head when poured, the off-white film settling to a thin ring. Nothing all that interesting, but nothing offensive either, it's well-made for what it is: a very accessible, light-colored craft beer that's intended for the masses.

Golden liquid, very lightly cloudy. Low formation foam, low density and short duration. The aroma is pleasant, lightly fruity with yellow fruits such as pineapple, apricot and some others. It brings a refreshing hop aroma too with a light background of malt. On mouth, the hops come at first sight with malted notes and a than a very light sweetness. The bitterness is well balanced and fits its style. The aftertaste brings a little bit higher bitterness and a light malted taste. A refreshing beer and worth the try. If it is in a good price, buy many to drink in a hot day....or even in any day you want. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
