UPDATED: NOV 3, 2019 Nice amber with a white head. Fruity aroma. Taste of tropical fruit, pine, almost a little sweet with a bitter finish. Well done.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2019 Can't argue with this beer's rating; what a pitch-perfect DIPA, reaching a harmonious blend of juiciness and bitter pine, with lovely notes of grapefruit, berry, pineapple, and passion fruit, but backed up by a firm resinous back end, packed with pine needles and minerals. Delicious.

HippyHop (1105) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 16, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2019 473ml can. Along with Heady Topper this was one of the beers I was most looking forward to trying. And much like Heady Topper I was a little surprised at how un-NEPA-like it is. Chatting with a bartender at Foam, I found out that Sip of Sunshine is now canned in Connecticut, and anecdotally it's not as good as it used to be. For one it's filtered, which caught me off guard, and inherently makes this NOT a NEPA. Secondly, while it's still quite delicious it's got that 'mass-produced craft beer' feel that I got from Stone IPA years ago. It's still damn good, has lots of tropical, citrusy hoppy goodness, but it lacks the rustic charm of so many NEPAs that I've tried in Vermont lately. It's smooth af, drinkable as all hell, but since it didn't meet my preconceived notions I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed. Would love to have tried the 'original' that was brewed in Waitsfield.

MacNJ (229) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 1, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2019 I did not get to the brewery when I visited Vermont, so I picked it up at Bell Bev in South Philly in pint cans. It’s a great NE IPA! Good earthy, citrus nose. Frothy, long lasting head and lacing. Super smooth and orange bursting. Refreshing and light for a strong IPA. Great brewing at work for it not to taste like booze. Worth grabbing. Cheers!

voyageurmike (791) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2019 Growler from Whole Foods, clear oranged tinged amber. White head and full body. Subtle grapefruit aroma, bitter grapefruit with some tropical fruit and malt to the taste. Strongly resinous finish.

explosivedog (4640) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 14, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2019 Pint can, rate #4000! Pours hazy orange. Pine, orange, little dank, peach, lemon, grapefruit juice, herbal, biting bitterness at the end. Medium body. Good.
