COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After fourteen days and fourteen nights of captivity on his own ship, our brewmaster slowly lost his sanity like a mythical whale descending in the deep. First came confusion, followed by creeping paranoia and lastly, utter madness. In his delirious state of mind he began mixing the beer styles he had sworn to uphold like commandments cut in stone.

When we finally came to his rescue it was already too late. In the fermentation tank brewed a monstrous potion, an unholy blend of wheat beer and ale.

The Tail of a Whale is brewed like a German wheat beer with over 55% wheat malt. It has a characteristically light body and fresh taste – just like a traditional wheat beer – but by fermenting with a Scottish ale yeast and dryhopping with Citra, the brew acquires a fantastic aroma and fruitiness. The combination results in a crisp malt body from the wheat beer with the fruitiness of an ale. The fresh hop aroma gives the beer a distinctive character.

Color: Summer sun yellow and opalescent.
Scent: Fresh floral hop aroma with clear tones of citrus and grapefruit.
Taste: Aromatically hoppy with a light, balansed maltiness and a relatively low and pleasant bitterness.
Malt: Wheat, Pilsner and light caramel.
Hops: Magnum and Citra.

Tap @Ølfred - Aarhus Streetfood. Pours a bit hazy, with white top. Sweet wheat beer, with the citra hops, which make it fresh on a summer day, lots of co2

Bottle, a Christmas gift from an ex-student - thank you, Frede! Pours murky banana straw wit airy, mquickly disappearing off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, years and hops, with some malty notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with citric notes and malty and estery touches. Fruity and slightly herbal hints. Bitterish and estry aftertaste with mild acetic tones. Above the average, although a little watery.

Bottle, 4.8%. Teaish hop aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Very small, probably stable white head. The flavour has a teaish hop note and a very mild hop bite. The finish has more tea and is slightly watery. OK flavourful for the ABV, though.
