Some ideas are simply ahead of their time. The stuff in this can, however, is right on schedule. We channeled a madman’s spirit and wild ingenuity to create this truly unique version of a classic. Wonderstuff delivers the clean, balanced flavors you’d expect from a Bohemian Style Pilsner, but with a powerful, citrus hop twist. Truly the stuff of wonder, this beer will change the way you think about light lagers.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2023 12 oz can that was generously given to me by my friend Kevin. The pour is a clear golden yellow with a foamy one inch white head that is lasting. The aroma is cereal grain, hay, and is softly sweet. The taste is bright, sweet floral, balanced nicely with the cereal grain and a bit of corn earth to the back. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and the corn grass earth dry finish. Solid.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2020 The brewer gives fair warning about this beer, right on the can: 'Wonderstuff delivers the clean, balanced flavors you expect from a classic, old-world pilsner, but with a more modern hop profile...' OK, I don't know what you read into that, but I read that this might be an 'India Bohemian Pilsner'... Let's see... A 3/4 inch head, thick and creamy, and white, tops a hazy yellow body with substantial carbonation. The hazy appearance is (as I said also for the Pryes Pragmatic) more kellerbier-like than pilsner-like.The head recedes within a few minutes to a thick cap, leaving lace-looking lacing around the glass. Aroma is not too strong, but pleasant. Bready, grassy, lemon, and floral. The flavor is very hoppy: a citrus/lemon character dominates over the bready malts. The bread fights back, but the hops rule the flavor. Even so, there is not much bitterness at all. The finish is a bit on the sweet side, with the enjoyable fruit and bread flavors lingering nicely into the aftertaste, ending, though, with a somewhat rough final finish. The mouth feel is smooth with a medium body. I like this beer a lot. As the brewer promised, the overall taste profile is very American, and with the smooth feel, fruit flavors, and sweet finish, it presents almost like a 'New England-style' pilsner. I'm unashamedly rating this beer in the taste and overall components on a 'do I like it' scale rather than as a classic Czech-style pils. It is quite delicious.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2019 Can. Slightly hazy brew with a bright white head. Rich floral nose with a hint of bologna. I also get apple core and some earthy herbal goodness. Taste is light dough and apple core. Just a hint of sweetness to keep it interesting. Overall well done with a smooth light body.

12oz can. Thought I had already rated, maybe in the backlog. Maintains a rather classic Pils feel, with some additional citrus forward hop tones. Well made, pleasant lager tones. Refreshing, sublime. Solid offering.

A pretty goof pils, but I wouldn’t have expected it to be rated this highly. A little on the sweet side, some butter and a little too slick on the tongue. Picked up at Zipps and drank at Northern Lights in 2018.
