From old tasting notes. Cloudy, reddish pink color with a small tan head. Fruity, yeasty malt aroma is reminiscent of papaya and guava fruit. Tangy sweet/sour flavor, much like a fruit flavored champagne. Very tasty with hints of tropical fruit. Characteristic of of a Lambic Ale, but less complex. Smooth and delicious.

Bottle from 1987. Murky red/brown colour, no foam. Nose of sweet fruit, berries, lot of oxidation. Light bitterness. Drinkable but too sweet and oxidized.

Thanks to Kraddel. 375 ml. bottle corked & caged. Bottle is from the 1980s – presumably circa 1985. I drank most of the bottle because no one else liked it. No sound when opened, completely flat. Dark wine /cassis appearance. Smells like oxidized Teisseire cassis syrup, pure cassis / sugar syrup and oxidation, sherry-like touches. Taste is odd mixture of Teisseire cassis syrup, pure sugar, sherry & wine-like oxidation with touch of cardboard in the back, sweetness covers most of it, strong liquorish & mint notes come in the back after a while. Completely flat, touch tin, syrup body. Very odd result, I sort of liked it.

Bottle thnx to matt! 80s vintage. Pours very dark cola-like no sign of carbo. Smell is tea, fruits. Taste is sweet, fruitty, bit metallic. Harsh, dry aspect. Madeira. Completely flat.

250 ml bottle Very fake ale, sweet and just for teenagers i think. Not for the beergeeks

Scopey (24169) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - MAR 24, 2014
Sampled from bottle. It pours deep pink/red with a small pink-white head. The nose is pretty sweet....blackcurrant, white sugar and Ribena. The taste also follows that sort of lines, sweet blackcurrant, faint tang, fruit syrup, sugar and candy with a dry-sweet finish. Light body and fine carbonation. more like a soft drink than anything else. Pretty poor.

Bottle. Dark chestnut color, medium off white head. Aroma of strawberry, blackberry, citrus. Taste is stingingly tart berries and fruit.

Lowenbrau (5864) - Asturias, SPAIN - APR 30, 2012
On tap at "A la Mort Subite", Brussels. Cherry and herbal aromas. Pours bright red, with thin reddish head, quickly disippating. Some thin lacework. Light body, high carbonation. Tastes fruity, with sourness developing from the first moment. Finish is long, some sweet and astrigent. A nice one, quite enjoyable, but possibly not to have more than one in a row.

3.4
Metalchopz (7114) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 29, 2011
Originally rated March 2006. Sampled at Vineyard in Ottawa, Ontario. Best before date is 16-01-06. Pours a clear red-pink-orange colour with a small fizzy white head. The lacing is thin and also fizzy, found in spots here and there. Candy nose of blackcurrant with a side that is medicinal. Watery mouthfeel. Starts off like a good tasting cough syrup, then goes to a sour finish. Some metallic flavour is found in the aftertaste, like rust and blood... or maybe just bad water. It does eventually go away. Not as bad as that sounded. The cassis aroma and taste are very nice and pleasant, well mixed, for a good fruit beer.
