Nocturne (4091) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2015
500ml bottle. Clear golden. Big white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is caramel, straw. Hops I can sense here but they seem faded. Taste is slightly soapy, medium bitter, a touch floral and citrussy. Would like to try a fresher bottle, because this feels too faded.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale golden body with a small white head. Nose is grass, herbs, citrus, cat pee, tomato plant and hints of pale malts and pine. Taste is pale malts, pine, red fruits, grass, hints of herbs and hay. Light, crisp body, medium carbonation. A lot more aroma than flavor, obviously (guess it’s hard to hop a beer which is supposed to be lagered for three months or more except dry hopping), but still quite a nice beer.

Dead skunk, dank, and extremely dry finish. Maybe this smells better fresh but man it has cat piss aroma. Not sure if I like the balance of this or not very earthy. Just ok IMO.

Hazy golden colour. Nice hoppy aroma, some bitterness at the end, a great lager.

Blond macro lager appearance. Nice hoppy aromas. Some bitterness at the beginning, when you sip, but quickly fades away into a lager dry finish. Nice one but I prefer the XPL#1 version.

blankboy (9694) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2014
[Bottle (500ml)] Pours a hazy gold with a large lasting frothy white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma of hempy hops, bready malt, light herbs and citrus. Flavour’s odd, but not in a bad way, it’s also hempy, bready, herbal and fruity along with a moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied/ Pretty good beer.

Beese (17142) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2014
Draught at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush. Poured a hazy, light golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of fresh hops, tropical fruit and perfume. Mango and sweet fruits in the flavour, with some straw and biscuity malt. Finish was peal, apricot and dry grain. Quite possibly the best ’pale lager’ I’ve ever had.

Bottle (500 ml). Almost sure it’s the good version as I think I can read October 2014 on the neck of the bottle and the hops used, though mostly illisible, seems to fit too. Slightly hazy golden with a medium white head an good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, herbal hops, biscuity malt and floral notes. Taste is of grapefruits, good biscuity malt backbone, grassy notes and low/moderate herbal bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. Really easy to drink. Tasty and quenching. There’s nothing that stand out in this beer except maybe the balance, but the beer is better than the sum of his parts.

Taste is light to medium sweet malty and fruity, light bitter grassy and floral, some grainy notes. Finish is light bitter floral. Crisp, medium bodied and average carbonation.
