COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Brown Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Toasted Coconut Added This rendition of our classic bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale amplifies the coconut character natively derived from extensive bourbon barrel-aging. This is our classic bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale, Mash™, stretching to new levels. Mash & Coconut™ has toasted coconut added – nearly 1 lb. per gallon, which ratchets up the complex coconut character. It also complements the oaky and vanilla notes that are imparted to the beer as part of its extensive maturation in bourbon barrels. (from 2017 label)

jpkeskinen (646) - FINLAND - MAR 10, 2022
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2022 A strong and sweet brown ale. I’m not a fan of brown ales but the barrel ageing seems to improve the situation a lot! Tastes great but doesn’t look that nice.

KevinReddirt (1251) - Midland, Texas, USA - MAY 8, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2021 The label determines this to be a 750 ml bottle of the 2017 issue that came to me by way of Rare Beer. Glad to get it , the Bruery delivers mostly with the heavier brews. The bottle opened, poured and viewed in a globe glass. I see a dark caramel brown body finished by a steady skim of light tan, very fine bubbles. The scent is deep with grain and also bark and hard candy. I have a drink and find it an improvement over the smell. Toffee, sorghum, dates, chocolate and vanilla and a hint of coconut peaking through. A good, potent sipper.
