UPDATED: MAR 10, 2022 A strong and sweet brown ale. I’m not a fan of brown ales but the barrel ageing seems to improve the situation a lot! Tastes great but doesn’t look that nice. Cheeseboard (3402) - Somerset, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2022

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2021 The label determines this to be a 750 ml bottle of the 2017 issue that came to me by way of Rare Beer. Glad to get it , the Bruery delivers mostly with the heavier brews. The bottle opened, poured and viewed in a globe glass. I see a dark caramel brown body finished by a steady skim of light tan, very fine bubbles. The scent is deep with grain and also bark and hard candy. I have a drink and find it an improvement over the smell. Toffee, sorghum, dates, chocolate and vanilla and a hint of coconut peaking through. A good, potent sipper.
