DraftDodger (1574) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2017
Copenhagen 30/7-2017. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus. Painting of what looks like a cross between a vulture and a crow on the label. Pours dark brown with bubbly off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is quite rich and sweet. Banana, lemonade with sugary notes. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is well balanced. Medium sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Decent although slightly boring Dunkelweizen.

Lidt skuffende dunkelweizen fra Hornbeer. OK bitterhed og fylde, men savner de fine smagsnuancer

cloudy brown amber. small white head. sweet malty and honeylike and what. nice bitterness that balances the sweet in a complimentary but not cloying way fainter notes of lemongrass and mineral water.

Nice beer but would not have guessed dunkel hefe. Lots of chocolate, burnt notes, and astringcy. Probably too sweet to be within the style

From tap. Pours dark brown with a slightly tan head. Very foamy with a fairly classic dunkelweizen aroma of banana and a bit of cloves. This one has to be infected, the taste is sour, not at all like a dunkelweizen should be.

Bottle @ Wordenskjolds. Appearance: pours unclear brown with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: wheat, caramel, light banana and some metallic notes. palette: medium yeasty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, balanced by medium bitterness, average duration and a watery texture. Overall: pretty standard dunkelweizen

On tap at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Dark brown. Nose is wheat, banana, light roast. Tastes fruity esters, light banana, light cloves, light spices and liquorice. Quite fizzy. Somehow odd but not bad.

[email protected] cph. Dark, black. Interesting nose. Sort of dark sweet licorice, or fruity something, ripe, overripe, banana estery, wheat malty, not much roast though. Lightish bodied, estery sweetness, med short finish. Bit licorice-bananay. This might work as a candy.

Weaking roast, bit dirty. Hazy dark. More banana in in taste, still a bit dirty. Palate watery, bit fizzy. Some treacle toffee finish, that’s the highlight. Otherwise watery and dirty.
