A near black, massively dry hopped IPA. It gives off huge floral, tropical fruit and spicy aromas exciting even the biggest of hop heads. Balanced with caramel malt flavour.

Vom Fass. Dunkelbraun, beiger fester Schaum. Hopfenduft. Reife Mango. Guave. Antrunk Hopfen. Dann Röstmalz, Vanille. Sehr rund und lecker.

hauxe (746) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - MAY 19, 2017
Pours very dark brown from the bottle and leaves a creamy tan head that lingers. Aroma is pine, resin, grapefruit, very hoppy and quite tilted towards the IPA side. Close your eyes and your unlikely to get any sense that this is a black IPA. The dark notes are very much masked. Taste is bitter with a fruity undertone and doesn’t change at all on the swill. Body is light to medium with a balanced carbonation. On the whole this one feels unbalanced too me — the strong dose of hops never really gives the roasted caramel flavors a chance to develop. But still, not a bad beer.

PowY (754) - AUSTRIA - APR 27, 2017
330 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper with some larger floating particles and a beige head. The aroma is hoppy (pine) and malty (toasted malt - caramel and hints of chocolate). Medium body with a low carbonation a light sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor is similar to the aroma hoppy (pine, overripe peach, oranges) with mildly roasted malt (caramel, honey). Overall balanced.

Oxytocin (144) - AUSTRIA - APR 23, 2017
330 ml bottle, dark, red brown colour; small, light brown head. molasses, lime, caramel, pine, apricot, coffee, bitter, balance is a bit off (bitterness is too present for the aroma to come through) average carbonisation, medium to full body,

Bottle from Biererei in Berlin. Dark malty smell with hops. Similar taste with some grapefruit and pine. Nice and drinkable.

Jashiu (1303) - Gdañsk, POLAND - DEC 14, 2016
330ml bottle from Hopfenreich Berlin

Coffee and chocolate dominate this beer with some pine, resin and dark malts also present. Though it feels more like a stout than a BIPA both in taste and in aroma

Erasmus_ro (2945) - Alabama, USA - NOV 12, 2016
Bottle. Pours dark brown, black with a ring of latte-colored bubbles. Aroma is roast, earthiness, some fruit, slight dank, guava, slight citrus. Taste is roast, citrus, some salty liquorice, some fruitiness. Light, decent carbonation.

a_sully (457) - - NOV 6, 2016
Aroma of hops and oats. Flavour is slightly bitter turning sweet and ending bitter again. Slightly hoppy with a smoaky taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
